Position Summary:

Working with shipboard Onboard Revenue Manager, as well as shore side Revenue Partners, optimize on board revenue by analyzing financial data and developing cross-marketing and sales strategies. The Sr Manger OBR, will be responsible for developing the data-driven business strategy for optimizing revenue for internal revenue areas and helps set the business strategy for concession partners. This role requires experience with strategy, financial analysis, sales, marketing and operations and collaboration with Hotel Operations, Tour Operations, Marketing, Sales, Expedition, Marine, and Product teams to create products and programs that optimize revenue. Supports the Onboard Marketing Managers (DTPs) to optimize revenue and guest satisfaction. Ensure teams are developed with appropriate product knowledge and business skills. Designs or improves existing processes, tools, and incentive programs that drive net revenue.

Identifies new opportunities for revenue growth by watching market and consumer trends. Represents Onboard Revenue at internal and external gatherings, as needed. Understands strategic opportunities for personalization and adapts offers accordingly. Contributes ideas across the entire OBR and Hotel Ops team. Manages the successful implementation of strategic initiatives and new revenue programs, on-time and on-target. Responsible for all forecasting and budgeting for Onboard Revenue. Responsible for the strategy and execution of deliverable new build projects. Develops action plans to address the areas of opportunity, and measures results, assessing and adjusting sales and marketing strategies as needed. Coaches and supports the Onboard Revenue Manager, Media Manager, and Sr Analyst in the decision-making process and implementation of any revenue-related issues impacting on board operations.

This position will report onsite in Miami, FL

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create and review revenue forecasts, actual performance and variance analysis and determine courses of action and marketing promotion plans for discussion, approval and implementation. Present and address revenue performance of the fleet at weekly and monthly financial reviews.
  • Own end-to-end business results for concessionaires and onboard services to drive financial results and guest satisfaction.
  • Support Silversea's data and technology roadmap to develop understanding of OBR drivers, enhance data distribution and usage through all parts of the OBR business, and ensure understanding and usage of the most efficient technologies.
  • Support all the Onboard Marketing Manager in order to meet and exceed onboard revenue goals.
  • Liaise with all shore side revenue partners on issues regarding revenue standards, pricing, revenue performance and development of new products and services, as well as operational issues such as inventory, staffing and berthing. This also includes the discussion and agreement of annual revenue targets.
  • Encourage synergies between revenue partners to develop better cross promotion of products and services.
  • Develop or adjust strategies and tactics to increase guest participation and maximize profitability of the revenue areas. Analyze current marketing promotions and associated revenue throughout the fleet.
  • Identify new revenue ideas and programs to be developed for shipboard implementation that support corporate and Hotel Operations' strategic and operational goals. Work with the Hotel Operations to identify the optimal scheduling opportunities for revenue related activities.
  • Maintain industry knowledge of relevant guest offerings, potential partnerships, and supporting technology and make recommendations to enhance the Silversea offering.
  • In tandem with Onboard Marketing Manager, ensure consistent brand standard image for guest-contact promotional materials and events. This includes the promotion of onboard collateral including the print and digital Chronicles, iTV, digital kiosks, in-suite mail, and point-of-sale displays, email marketing, etc.
  • Assists Butler team leads, HDs, Guest Relations, and Knowledge Desk teams with scripting, word of mouth, advertising and activity announcements and blurbs to promote revenue areas.
  • Works with Excellence team to develop and maintain standardized and consistent Onboard Revenue policies and procedures, with documented SOPs.
  • Identifies and leads the development of reports and initiatives to better leverage existing information and systems (i.e.: demographic data and personalized offers)
  • Interfaces with Silversea Marketing and Loyalty program for development of new programs as well as maintaining brand standards across our operations.
  • Responsible for the strategy and execution of deliverable new build projects.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor's recommended / MBA preferred / Experience Equivalent
  • Overall + 8 yrs work experience with minimum 3 yrs Management shipboard work experience
  • Travel required - 10-25%
  • Proven track record of success in a comparable position with a highly visible, prestigious, and forward-thinking organization.
  • Extensive experience in the areas of business development, contract negotiation, data analysis and finance, with excellent proven leadership characteristics.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with all levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to lead management group in brainstorming sessions.
  • Detailed and excellent knowledge of and ability to navigate within a variety of software packages including Excel, Word, PowerBi, and related programs.
  • Proven skills in financial analysis, business modeling and return on investment analysis.
  • Ability to produce computer graphs and presentations.
  • Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with shore side and shipboard employees and guests.
  • Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors, and co-workers.
  • In accordance with this is the ability to write reports and letters grammatically correct in English.
