POSITION OVERVIEW

The Associate Vice President, Transformation Programs provides leadership technology direction to large business transformation programs. This executive will be a member of the Technical Enterprise Products and Architecture team and will oversee the project team comprised of members from Engineering, Enterprise Architecture; Project Management Office (PMO); Cyber & Compliance, Infrastructure and other contributor organizations. Lead the delivery of application-enabled business capabilities and the transition into a supportable operating model across the Royal Caribbean Group landscape. Establish a leadership forum to build, review & progress integrated plans; drive organizational change management; and a constructive environment to drive idea generation and conflict resolution

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Transformation leader will be responsible for the project roadmap and prioritization, technology design, feature/use case definition, SDLC, QA, and release management for enterprise products which include (but not limited to) technologies that support Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Legal, Treasury and Revenue Management. In addition, this executive will be the technology leader responsible for the transition from our existing enterprise systems to the next generation platforms. S/he must provide the leadership and direction necessary to create an environment that motivates a bright and technically diverse organization to deliver innovation to employees supporting the corporation's back-office operations. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strategic and execution skills at the enterprise level, along with exceptional influencing skills. S/he will have a proven track record of designing, developing, and delivering valuable, cost-effective, and reliable application technology via both in-house and outsourced resources. Beyond excellent delivery skills, the ideal candidate will be a business technology leader with a proven record of creating real business value through the alignment of technology and business interests.

Technology Depth:
  • History of delivering successful world-class, large-scale, performance critical, ERP software projects on time, on budget and with quality and security.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing best practices in a connected service, SaaS and/or on-premise environment.
  • Hands-on approach and detail orientation in leading technology transformation programs.
  • Significant experience in sourcing, negotiations and technology contract administration
  • Full knowledge of the SDLC processes working in a bimodal delivery environment.
  • Experience in an agile/iterative process and deriving best practices.
  • Experience managing and executing complex system integrations - effectively exercising build/buy/partner principles.

  • Experience in guiding a company in articulating future state requirements and understanding the interactions between business areas

  • Exhibits strong communication skills accompanied by the ability to influence both directly and indirectly and build consensus throughout the business.
  • Builds strong rapport and credibility with business leaders; does not rely on jargon and can translate the technical into layman's terms.

  • Demonstrates professionalism and ability to work with senior leaders across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 15+ years of experience in a variety of technology disciplines, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in delivery large complex technology solutions; experience leading technology teams at scale.
  • Process improvement experience (i.e. 6 Sigma)
  • Project Management experience (i.e. PMI and/or Scrum)
