Position Summary:

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Contracts Analyst in Miami, Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and administering various agreements, such as global contracts with different Hotel, Transportation, and Port Agent agreements, and assistance with processing and executing contracts for 400 +/- vendors.

  • Working primarily with the Vendor Management Specialists and Leads but assisting others on an as-available basis and working directly with business teams to develop and maintain a standard of contracts.
  • Establishing contract management procedures and controls to ensure appropriate forms and adherence to support contract policies.
  • Negotiating various common contractual issues that may arise related to standard agreements.
  • Preparation of contract amendments, as necessary, and managing the contract amendment process.
  • Leveraging available in-house tools, such as any contract automation and management tools available in the department.
  • Coordinating execution of agreements and tracking matters; responding to general inquiries and requests for legal documents and forms.
  • Conducting training presentations for internal business units with new systems implementations within the department.
  • Preparing and circulating information to the business regarding contract processes and status.
  • Serving as a liaison between the Legal and Workforce Strategy Movement departments.
  • Support with vendor onboarding with task such as, but not limited to, setup with Accounts Payable, various system setups, Apex, etc.
  • Maintain vendor directory to ensure all contractual terms, values, and rates are up to date at all times.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience drafting, negotiating, and administering agreements.
  • Experience in the cruise line or travel industry or in-house legal environment is a plus.
  • Must be bilingual, with fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task on many complex issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrate high proficiency in correct spelling, grammar, tone, and syntax.
  • High-level of experience in contract negotiation is preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills (e.g., expertise in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and contract management applications)
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with a high volume of assignments.
  • Sound legal and business judgment.
  • Demonstrated experience handling sensitive, confidential material.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, commitment to client service, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including teammates and business team members across the Company and outside vendors and consultants.
  • Ability to deal confidently with internal and external customers at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to understand and explain risk in various scenarios.
