We are hiring a Senior Applications Engineer, Anaplan to provide technical leadership and support to our team. You will lead important Anaplan projects and work closely with Finance & Strategy (F&S) and other partners to gather requirements, build scalable models, and generate dynamic reports. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical roadmap and strategy for Anaplan, ensuring functionality aligns with business goals.
  • Partner with leadership across F&S, Finance, Engineering, Tax, and Audit to drive cross-functional projects, and work with external partners.
  • Translate complex business requirements into Anaplan multi-dimensional models, providing expert-level support to the FP&A team on standard methodologies for modeling and reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and provide direction to a small team of engineers, prioritizing tasks and ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues in JIRA related to access, improvements, and integration failures.
  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Anaplan and systems like Oracle Cloud Services and Workday.
  • Develop test plans and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for new functionality, defect resolution, regression testing, and SOX-related testing.
  • Work closely with collaborators to find opportunities for process improvement, using Anaplan’s capabilities to enhance efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks, standards, and documentation for Anaplan operations and ensure compliance with internal audits and SOX controls.
  • Work with collaborators, customers, and team members to evaluate and demonstrate new design ideas through Proof of Concept (POC) exercises, presenting solutions that meet business objectives. POC or equivalent experience is acceptable.
  • Lead the development of user stories, UAT test cases/scripts, and contribute to deployment strategies.
  • Engage with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful Anaplan implementations and ongoing product engagement.
  • Triage and assign work related to production support issues with MSP, and supervise enhancement progress across IT and F&S teams.
  • Participate in financial system governance discussions to ensure Anaplan remains a compliant and effective financial reporting tool.
  • Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions to partner organizations on standard processes for effectively using Anaplan and exploring its capabilities.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in implementing Anaplan solutions, serving as a Solution Architect or Senior Model Builder, with at least 8 successful Anaplan implementations.
  • Anaplan Certified Solution Architect or Certified Master Anaplanner certification.
  • Deep knowledge of financial modeling and advanced skills in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and data manipulation.
  • Strong understanding of Anaplan’s integration capabilities with ERP systems like Oracle and Workday.
  • Proven track record in leading Anaplan projects end-to-end, from requirement gathering to post-production support.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for business leaders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, collaborating with both technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field (equivalent experience will also be considered; MBA or other relevant advanced degrees preferred).
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, while maintaining a hands-on approach to solving problems.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.
