The Operational Excellence Change Agent is responsible for developing, facilitating, and training on continuous improvement initiatives for the Global Division Businesses. Manage continuous improvement projects ensuring progress, continuity, and sustainability. Drive RPS discipline and accountability for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People Development across the business. Perform as an influencer and coach for transformation initiatives and strategic problem solving that drives business results and customer experience. Must be a great facilitator and trainer who embodies servant leadership.

This position will serve our Global Air Division, located in Fort Smith, AR. This position can be fully remote, per Rheem's Remote Working Policy. Candidate will need to be located in the Southeastern US within the states of KY, GA, AR, OK, TX, MO, NC, SC, FL, or AL.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Deploys and implements lean and world class methodologies in departmental team projects that are aimed at continuously improving operational, quality and safety processes while eliminating non-value add processes to reduce cost.
• Conducts Kaizen events and Lean training in pilot areas and other specific plant functions.
• Maintains lean implementation schedules for assigned projects, progress updates as required, and most importantly, provide documentation that demonstrates the direct link between lean implementation and direct process improvement and plant operations.
• Provides CI training and coaching at all levels of the assigned site.
• Assist leadership with Transformation plan.
• Participates on and coaches teams on problem solving aimed at the resolution of value stream issues and concerns.
• Interfaces with cross functional teams on projects addressing quality, material and information flow and capacity issues.
• Generates, provides, and participates in lean training.
• Where necessary, identifies and purchases equipment and supplies to address process and production issue.
• Assists in development and tracking of lean metrics.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

• 7+ years' experience in lean manufacturing environment with a record of proven accomplishments

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and AutoCAD.

• Demonstrates ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.

• Measurable degree of six-sigma training or exposure to methodology.

• Must have experience in identifying areas of improvement, planning for and leading Kaizen events.

• Independent thought, good judgment, problem solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects a must.

• Must be self-motivated requiring little to no supervision.

• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

HOW TO STAND OUT:

• Master's degree in engineering or related field

• Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.

• Experience in a high-volume durable goods manufacturing environment

• Experience in S.P.C., S.M.E.D., design of experiments, and 6-Sigma implementation
