Job Summary:
Position Overview: The Senior Marketing Specialist is part of the Engagement/Lifecycle marketing team and will play a crucial role in the execution and maintenance of our existing marketing campaigns. This individual will be responsible for managing retention and churn campaigns, overseeing quarterly payment campaigns, monthly statement communications, and onboarding processes. Additionally, the Senior Marketing Specialist will be tasked with reporting and monitoring lifecycle emails and transactional triggers to ensure optimal performance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution and delivery of lifecycle and retention campaigns across multiple channels. This will include creating marketing briefs, working with the creative team on creative deliverables, coordinating with the Email and Digital Strategy teams, and leveraging workflow/campaign management tools.
- Analyze customer data to identify at-risk customers and develop targeted strategies to retain them.
- Create and manage automated email campaigns, including onboarding, retention and churn campaigns.
- Monitor and report on lifecycle campaigns and transactional triggers, working closely with marketing analytics to ensure performance is tracked and optimized.
- Optimize campaigns through A/B testing, performance analysis, and iterative improvements.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Effective at prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working with task management tools (Monday.com, JIRA, etc.).
- Candidates should be proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting. Experience with formulas, data visualization, and complex functions are a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in consumer technology or retail sectors.

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base compensation for this role to be within the range shown below. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
