OVERVIEW
Supporting the global marketing team, the Marketing Manager, EMEA is an integral role for Rakuten Advertising. By leading in-country activities across EMEA, this role will increase the awareness of the brand, with a specific focus on executing marketing programs that support revenue generating campaigns for key verticals and countries.
Rakuten Advertising is a fast-paced and results-driven environment, and the key to success for any candidate is the ability to manage and prioritise their workload effectively, communicate and collaborate frequently, all whilst supporting EMEA and global marketing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with senior leadership to develop integrated country-specific marketing plans with programs that are aligned to regional revenue targets.
- Own, develop, and manage EMEA marketing budget, measuring, optimizing, and reporting on programs to ensure activities are effective with a clear ROI.
- Manage all aspects of hosted and sponsored events in EMEA including pre-, during- and post-event activity with sales and commercial teams.
- Create EMEA thought leadership strategies that drive local brand awareness and support key business messaging.
- Manage and develop content for Rakuten Advertising's blog and social pages, in collaboration with the global marketing team.
- Work alongside Product Marketing for the go-to-market strategy and execution of initiatives and product launches, including internal and external email communications.
- Support translations when necessary, ensuring all published content is of a professional standard and accurately reflects the Rakuten Advertising brand and positioning.
- Provide ad-hoc reports and ongoing campaign performance progress to stakeholders.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- Able to perform the above duties with a high level of excellence, managing effective communication, collaboration and relationship building skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of B2B marketing best practices and multiple channel execution.
- Ability to write engaging content, adjusted for the audience and the medium.
- Experience of budget management/ROI analysis and reporting to different stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, coupled with the proven ability to set priorities and manage deadlines and multi-task across.
- Results-focused and organised with a strong desire to succeed and progress, make things happen in a creative, solution-focused way.
- Adaptive to change with a positive, can-do mentality, even when under pressure.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of experience in a multi-channel marketing role within a B2B technology, SAAS or digital marketing business focusing on ecommerce.
- Read, write and generate content to a professional standard in English.
- A second language (French, German, or Italian) desired but not required.
- Understanding of the online marketing and retail sectors and trends within EMEA region.
- Experience in using marketing platforms and project management tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Canva, Monday, and Jira not required but preferred.
