The Strategic Finance Manager Role

 

As a Strategic Finance Manager at Qlik you will be responsible for the critical role of ensuring the availability, accuracy, analysis, and interpretation of key performance indicators (KPIs) across the company. You will also be instrumental in identifying, strategizing, planning, testing, and executing cross-functional projects aimed at driving efficiency and aligning with the company's strategic goals.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

KPI Reporting and Assurance:

  • Develop and maintain a robust KPI framework that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Create and distribute regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into the company's financial health, operational efficiency, and key business metrics.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and transparency in KPI reporting.
  • Conduct analysis and provide actionable recommendations based on KPI performance to support decision-making.

 

Cross-Functional Project Management:

  • Identify opportunities for cross-functional projects that enhance operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and revenue growth.
  • Lead project teams, define project scopes, objectives, and timelines, and ensure successful execution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments to align projects with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and report on project outcomes.
  • Interpret and execute a volume of intercompany requests by working in test environments to ensure data accuracy prior to releasing enhancements to applications.

 

Financial Analysis and Strategy:

  • Monthly reporting includes, but is not limited to Annual Recurring Revenue, Churn, Net Retention Rate.
  • Conduct financial analyses, including budgeting, forecasting, controls, and variance analysis, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the development of financial models and scenarios to assess the impact of various strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations and insights to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.

 

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Identify financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in audits and support internal and external reporting requirements.

 

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Effectively communicate financial insights, project updates, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of financial transparency and accountability within the organization.

 

Qualifications include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years proven experience in strategic finance, financial analysis, and project management.
  • Experience working in the software industry, an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Results-driven with a track record of driving financial improvements.
  • Highly skilled in Excel.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $100,000 – 125,000 USD per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package, eligibility requirements for benefits will be controlled by applicable Qlik plan documents and policies.
