A career in our Customs and Trade Tax practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions. Our team helps organisations manage indirect tax implications that results in cash flow optimisation and risk reduction. You'll help with structuring business transactions, developing efficient supply chain models, handling customs and indirect tax disputes, and implementing VAT for new to market organisations.

As an Intern / Trainee, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

The role helps our clients with customs duty planning and strategy, customs regulatory compliance, processes and controls, and the design and deployment of technology related to global trade. Our team helps clients develop scalable solutions to address the customs regulatory compliance needs of corporations, partnerships, and other business entities.

Additional Educational Preferences:

Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success, as both an individual contributor and team member, with identifying and addressing client needs including:
- Interest in international business transactions and supply chain considerations;
- Some ability to conduct independent research of regulatory frameworks;
- Some experience with automation and digitization in a professional services environment;
- Interest in working with large, complex data sets to analyze data, build models and leverage data visualization tools;
- Communicate in an organized and knowledgeable manner in written and verbal formats that reflects ability to communicate observations to internal and external stakeholders;
- Understand personal and team roles, contributing to a positive working environment by building impactful relationships with team members, proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback, providing guidance, clarification and feedback to less-experienced team members;
- Demonstrates some ability to write business documents clearly and concisely;
- Demonstrates some interest in the practical implications of the global trade environment and US Customs and Border Protection procedures and regulatory framework;
- Delivering clear requests for information;
- Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and,
- Communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor.

The salary range for this position is: $28.00 - $44.75. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
