The Corporate Strategy team partners directly with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team members, and Business Presidents to help solve the most important and complex questions and challenges facing Prudential. The team focuses on enterprise-level issues, including strategy, business development, resource allocation, and growth initiatives.

The team is seeking an experienced Vice President, Corporate Strategy to work with a generalist, go-anywhere team responsible for partnering directly with the CEOs, business presidents, and heads of Technology within the international and domestic businesses to drive growth and value in core, adjacent and new markets as well as support enterprise priorities. This can include strategy, business development, due diligence, post-merger integration, growth initiatives, and resource allocation. Leveraging their external profile and network, the individual in this role will be encouraged to bring new ideas, make connections, and create relevance with our current and potential partners.

This individual will be encouraged to invest in the development of their own strategy skills, as well as in the strategy skills of an informal network of individuals more broadly across the enterprise. The individual in this role will report directly to the Vice President, Head of Core Strategy and will partner with Business Leaders, Finance, Treasury, and Corporate Development and the broader Corporate Strategy team on specific efforts.

What you can expect:

  • Oversee and guide project execution under ELT guidance, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Interface and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. Act as a bridge between senior leaders and teams ensuring effective communication and collaboration on key projects and deliverables.
  • Lead teams of Strategy members and business experts ensuring successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain a strategic valuation models linked to resource and capital allocation.
  • Align resource allocation with strategic goals and track progress to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Connect capital management processes with Global Finance, Actuarial, Risk, CIO, Global Technology, and Talent, enhancing departmental collaboration.
  • Integrate with finance, business, and other departments to enhance collaboration.
  • Build an external profie and network of leaders at other financial institutions.
  • Introduce new ideas and external perspectives to the organization, fostering innovation and growth
  • Develop and deliver (with Treasury) training on capital and resource allocation for critical leaders/developing leaders.
  • Build and foster an internal network of resource/capital allocation practitioners.
  • Serve as a thought leader to identify enterprise issues and opportunities.
  • Bring an enterprise perspective to business and functional initiatives.
  • Support the Global leadership team and Board in the strategy-setting process.
  • Partner in developing topics and agendas for Global leadership team and management committee meetings.
  • Synthesize and evaluate business strategies for enterprise impact.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CFA designation a plus
  • Minimum of 8-10 years in corporate development, capital management, Financial planning & analysis, or consulting
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing complex projects and cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated internal and external networking skills.
  • Success developing talent, building teams and bringing people together to enable business outcomes.
  • Strong quantitative skills and financial analysis skills and ability to apply corporate finance principals to various scenarios
  • Executive presentation skills including advanced visual storytelling and communication
  • Capable of clearly articulating technical concept to a variety of audiences.
  • Comfortable working with and presenting to senior level executives.

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $200,000.00 to $270,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
