The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid with work from home flexibility. You will need to be within a commutable distance to a Prudential office and plan to be in the office at least twice per week.

What you can expect:

  • Lead the annual design and creation of the sales incentive compensation plans for internal employees and compensation plans for external brokers
  • Collaborate closely with leaders in Distribution to develop strategically aligned compensation plans that drive desired financial results
  • Develop and maintain all financial and plan design modeling for internal sales incentive compensation and broker compensation
  • Review and conduct benchmarking and market research analysis
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and business leaders to gain alignment on proposed compensation strategies
  • Monitor and evaluate of the performance of compensation plans
  • Leverage data analytics to drive the compensation planning processes to gain insights
  • Partner with Distribution to build strategic narratives, supported by analytics and insights, for presentations to leadership
  • Create and maintain sales incentive compensation plans and Broker plan documents
  • Develop and maintain financial models to accurately forecast and manage annual commission expense
  • Provide SME support to the Finance team for quarterly forecast and actual analysis/review
  • Provide guidance on compensation plan administration
  • Manage multiple and concurrent workstreams, coordinating with cross-functional leadership to set expectations and meet critical deadlines
  • Partner with Finance on financials focused forecast, actuals for Commissions Governance Meetings

What you'll need:

  • Consultative strategic partner with senior leaders
  • Knowledge and experience with incentive compensation plan design and different compensation structures
  • Knowledge of Broker commission and group insurance sales
  • Critical thinking and strategic mindset to be able to identify and seek insights
  • Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills
  • Required to be able to effectively summarize and clearly communicate complex or technical information/modeling results to leaders (typically via power point presentations)
  • Experience with financial modeling (i.e.. scenario analysis, cost benefit analysis, forecasting methodologies)
  • Strong financial acumen to understand up and downstream financial impacts and exercise sound financial judgment when developing analyses and reviewing results
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (i.e. accrual accounting)
  • Proactive with an aptitude for creative problem solving
  • Project management experience
  • Comfortable reading and writing contractual language
  • Ability to work with large data sets in Excel, including development and use of Macros
  • Comfortable using MS Word and Adobe Acrobat to create/update documentation and marketing brochures
  • Understanding of Tableau, PowerBI or other similar systems.

The salary range for this role is from $115,800.00 to $172,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
