Appraises and underwrites applications for insurance to assess mortality risk within company guidelines to assure equitable treatment of policyholders and producers and to meet the company's financial objectives. Approves, classifies or declines applications on own signature. Provides guidance to the field force and home office staff regarding underwriting problems and requirements. Analyzes and appraises applications and other pertinent data for complete appraisal of risk. Obtains any required medical or financial data through research and consultation. Determines if risk is standard, substandard or unacceptable. Analyzes, appraises and determines the risk selection of cases in excess of approval limits, but must obtain a concurring signature from authorized personnel on final risk classification. Has an approval limit up to and including 500,000.

Qualifications:
• Education/Work Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience (Minimum 4yrs equivalent work experience)
• Excellent Analytical Skills: Ability to assess and interpret complex information to make informed decisions.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $53,600.00 to $79,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
