ADP is hiring a Workers Compensation Underwriter. In this position you will select prospective clients from a workers' compensation point of view. Interaction with Sales to reject those prospects that do not provide an expectation of being profitable clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Approves and disapproves of prospective clients.
- Develops and maintains a current knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations on workers' compensation insurance.
- Prepares loss control requests.
- Performs any special projects assigned by the Underwriting Manager.
- Four-year college degree (or equivalent in education and experience).
- 3-4 years of insurance experience with a concentration in workers' compensation underwriting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
- Ability to perform rapid turn around decisions on worker's compensation, risk evaluation and handle a heavy telephone load are critical.
- Making correct decisions is a basic function of this decision.
Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions.
