Your Team & Role
As the Director responsible for the Cyber Defense and Response organization's innovation efforts you will study and assess workflows, recommend opportunities to build scale and efficiency, develop requirements, and enhance capabilities in close collaboration with colleagues responsible for security operations, threat hunting, incident response, insider risk, threat intelligence, and detection engineering.

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
- You will consistently refine your understanding of workflows, processes, engineering, and analytical methodology utilized across all Cyber Defense and Response teams, will generate requirements, and drive enhancements to optimize our efforts.
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in digital Forensics, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Ability to coach others with minimal guidance and effectively leverage diverse ideas.
- Strong problem solving, communication and collaboration skills
- Applied management and leadership skills
- Experience in enterprise class cyber defense and response.
- Deep subject matter expertise in multiple domains across digital forensics and incident response, security orchestration and automation, threat analysis, and intelligence.
- Expert understanding of automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence capabilities.
- Strong problem solving, communication and collaboration skills.
Advanced experience and/or expertise with several of the following:
- Implementation and customization of Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR), Generative AI, and Agentic AI platforms.
- Experience with common enterprise security platforms including SIEM and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) systems.
- Proficient in working cross-functionally with developers, QA, and operations teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Agile ways of working.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent certifications in Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- GCFA, GCFR, GEIR, GNFA, GREM, GMLE, GCSA or similar industry-accepted certifications.
What we offer you:
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $164,700.00 to $222,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
