Job Description
The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. seeks a Software Architect Sr. in Strongsville, OH, with the ability to telecommute with appropriate telecommuting systems for up to two days per week, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. Participate in all aspects of PNC's Corporate and Institutional Banking's Systems Engineering Group activities. Specific duties include: (i) participate and contribute towards design discussions across the Lending technology organization; (ii) while focusing on innovation, ensure applications follow technology and customer delivery goals of PNC; (iii) analyze existing legacy systems and their interactions to understand business functionality; (iv) design the integrations solutions in an optimized way by understanding the entire workflow and the upstream and downstream systems thoroughly; (v) engage in various Enterprise architecture forums and groups across PNC; (vi) participate in solutioning enterprise needs and goals; (vii) stay up to date on enterprise architecture standards and patterns; and (viii) gatekeep the various interactions across multiple technology platforms in the lending world.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CIS, MIS, Computer Science, or Information Technology plus 8 years of experience architecting enterprise solutions based on microservices and event-based architecture, SOA based webservices and micro services in or for the financial services industry using REST and SOAP based APIs is required. Must have experience with: (i) leading overall design of cross-functional, multi-platform, and Web-based application systems using webservices and client administration tools utilizing Pega and Salesforce; (ii) developing application architecture and blueprints using Microsoft Visio or Atlassian Gliffy aimed at reflecting enterprise business logic; (iii) defining solutions and documenting the identified challenges by creating architecture diagrams and blueprints; (iv) identifying and defining reusable components, platforms, and interfaces across Lending technology teams; (v) mapping activities on specific integrations using BIAN; (vi) providing technical guidance to application development teams and consulting on integration between two application systems and data migration activities; (vii) reviewing and approving the technical low-level software design created by development teams; (viii) conducting reviews and analyzing organizational needs and goals to develop and implement applications; (ix) ensuring the defined architecture standards are implemented by development teams; (x) defining DevOps Practices and Tools using Bitbucket, Jenkins, uDeploy, Artifactory, and Azure; (xi) Containerization and Orchestration Technologies using OpenShift or Kubernetes; (xii) working with Infrastructure as Code solutions using Ansible, Docker, and Terraform; (xiii) designing Microservices and APIs using Java Springboot and monitoring microservices using Logscale and Dynatrace; (xiv) defining Data Model and designing Database using Erwin Data Modeler; and (xv) Performance Engineering and Optimization standards using Dynatrace and either jMeter or HP Performance Tester.
