We currently are seeking a Communications Manager Senior to join our Business Communications group to lead a team that provides external and internal communications support for our Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) line of business.

This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager's discretion.

PNC C&IB provides a complete set of value-added lending, treasury management, advisory and capital markets-related products and services to companies, governments and nonprofits across the U.S. and Canada. Through its C&IB business, PNC is one of the largest commercial and industrial and commercial real estate lenders in the U.S. and ranks among the top treasury management providers in the U.S.

The C&IB Communications Manager Senior is a member of the Marketing Communications (MarCom) team of approximately 300 professionals, advising the C&IB line of business on critical communications trends and needs in support of LOB and PNC Bank business objectives. This individual plays a hands-on role in the design and execution of a results-oriented and holistic 360-degree strategic communications program that advances C&IB's reputation, broadens awareness, and increases its visibility across internal and external stakeholder audiences including employees, customers, analysts, and media outlets. In addition, this individual will be responsible for all internal and external business leader communications.

What You'll Do:
• Lead a team of five internal and external communications professionals in providing strategic support to the C&IB businesses and its leaders.
• Partner with business leaders and teams to lead the strategic planning and development of robust, creative and holistic communications designed to inform, educate and engage C&IB employees and cross-functional business partners about business-specific initiatives, opportunities and successes, in line with C&IB business priorities and to inform external audiences about C&IB expertise, product offerings and capabilities;
• Leverage data and results to measure the effectiveness of communications approaches and deliverables, which will be used to inform recommendations for communications strategies;
• Provide communications counsel to the C&IB leadership team; providing updates on progress and performance, advising on approach for current and future communications opportunities, developing communications materials, as needed to assist with mitigation of issues among internal and external audiences;
• Lead and manage internal employee events intended to provide business updates, communicate key initiatives and offer important data and information about progress against business objectives;
• Drive the internal and external content strategy, including the development of thought leadership content for the PNC Insights hub, which also feeds additional PNC-owned channels and is leveraged by Relationship Managers for client communication;
• Lead, monitor and govern the C&IB LinkedIn SME program, which allows selected C&IB leaders to engage in LinkedIn with original content and content sharing; and
• Promote a high-performance culture built on teamwork, trust and a commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and learning

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business or communications-related field
• 8+ years of experience in corporate communications - ideally a blend of internal and external communications - with proven experience in the development of 360-degree communication strategies that include media engagement, content strategy, and development, social media content, employee engagement, executive communications and stakeholder relationship building.
• Financial industry experience highly preferred
• Strong writer and editor; excellent story telling capability and ability to develop content that resonates across multiple communications platforms

  • Coordinates final review and approval before internal or external communications are released.
  • Leads teams, coaches, influences outcomes, and evaluates success as appropriate. Has people management responsibilities, may manage managers.
  • Consults and advises on communications strategies based on data-driven insights.
