The Role
This role is a member of the Corporate Affairs discipline driving the development of and implementation of communication strategy focusing on internal communication. This individual is responsible for supervising and managing Kyndyl Japan's communications, working closely with business leaders and internal/external partners to plan and develop a persuasive communications platform that advances stakeholder's trust in the company as well as cultivates an engaged workforce in Japan and advances the strategic priorities of the company.

Develops and implements programs to communicate Kyndryl's business objectives, culture and values. Designs, develops, edits, and provides guidance on content and style of all materials. Partners with executive management, Public Relations, Human Resources and other departments to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategic internal communications. Evaluates fit with target audience and implements metrics to evaluate effectiveness of communication plan delivery.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee internal communications strategies and its implementation in Japan.
- Manage the development and design of communications strategy to ensure business priorities, organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to all key internal stakeholders and employees.
- Ensure the development, creation and deployment of strategic narrative and content that empowers leaders to be seen, heard, and understood.
- Ensure all communications messages are consistent and managed across all mediums and for different departments of the organization.
- Work hand-in-hand with Kyndryl spokespeople and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather stories and information that tell the story of Kyndryl strategically and support engagement and drive sense of belongings and pride in Kyndryl.
- Manage the development, creation and shaping of briefing documents, talking points and related materials for Kyndryl Japan leaders for their internal engagements.
- Create informative and meaningful communication contents in various forms of media including videos, internal social media and newsletter.
- Ensure content-fit-for-leaders and content-fit-for-audience for effective internal communications.
- Develop deep understanding of Kyndryl employee cohorts and develop relevant content to inspire and motivate them around Kyndryl's mission and purpose.
- Manage the communication plan and implementation to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation.
- Measure and assess data (including the employee engagement survey results) to evaluate and evolve approaches to continually improve the process and pace of communicating with cohorts.
- Establish, maintain and take care of a solid internal network.

Required Technical and Professional Experience
- Possess at least 8+ years of hands-on experience in in-house and/or public relations agency in communication area.
- Strong and creative communications strategy planning and project management skills and experience. Ability to manage various pressing priorities and timeline. Results-focused. Attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience working in an international environment with various diverse backgrounds & cultures.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and oral, written, and presentation skills. Positive, flexible attitude and calm under pressure.
- A true team player with no ego.
- Strong business level Japanese and English.
- IT industry experience preferred.
