As an Accountant Senior within PNC's Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is within the SEC Reporting Team with an emphasis on climate change reporting.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

•Preparing quarterly and annual consolidated external financial statements (10-K, 10-Q, 8-Ks etc.) in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements

•Working closely with internal business partners
•Assisting in the preparation of quarterly earnings release materials
•Performing tie outs for accuracy of our earnings press releases, quarterly and annual filings
•Assisting in review of XBRL tagging of 10-K/10-Q
•Performing disclosure-related US GAAP and SEC research
•Assist in the completion of Census Bureau surveys
•Assist in the various automation and process improvement projects
•Completing ad hoc requests, as required

This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager's discretion.

Job Description
  • Supports the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting.
  • Prepares, analyzes, and maintains records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • Creates and evaluates reports on financial performance for internal and external use. Interacts with all levels of an organization in determining content and summarizing data for management. .
  • Completes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.
  • Supports and assists junior accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.
