The Senior Manager, People Operations is responsible for leading, managing, and mentoring People Team members as well as the strategic design, delivery, and administration of the HRIS system (Workday), ensuring alignment with business requirements and the latest HR technology trends. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize system development needs, providing comprehensive support and training, and managing vendor relationships. The Senior Manager, People Operations also oversees data integrity and compliance, develops and maintains reports and dashboards, and leads projects to enhance People Operations processes and system workflows.

System Administration, Configuration, and Integration:
- System Administration
- Own the strategic design, delivery, and administration of HRIS (Workday).
- Serve as security admin for Workday, managing user and role based security groups.
- Manage HRIS vendor relationships and renewals.
- Own and manage the P&T tech stack and vision.
- System Configuration & Integration
- Configure, test, and deploy configuration updates, process improvements and business process updates in HCM, Comp, Adv. Comp, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, US Payroll and Talent.
- Mange Bi-Annual Workday Release Cycle.
- Serve as integration administrator to troubleshoot integration enhancement, issues, errors or vendor request.
- Project Management
- Partner with the PT&E team and key stakeholders to identify and prioritize system development needs.
- Align system configuration goals with PT&E goals to optimize the HRIS’s value.
Continuous Improvement, Training & Documentation, and End User Support:
- End User Support
- Provide Tier 2+ support for end-users.
- Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design solutions based on requirements.
- Identify areas of improvement based on HR technology trends and internal stakeholder needs.
- Plan and execute moderate to complex projects, partnering with cross-functional SMEs.
- Training & Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configuration and/or integration.
- Establish and train team using best practice methods for People systems.
Data Integrity and Compliance:
- Data Integrity
- Monitor, audit, maintain, and troubleshoot the HRIS system to ensure data integrity and system compliance.
- Maintain data integrity by developing routine audit procedures, creating audit reports, analyzing data, and defining corrective solutions. Respond to requests for systems support and reports.
- Data Compliance
- Develop data management protocols and standards including data entry, integration, validation, and quality assurance procedures.
- Establish and document audit procedures for People Systems tech stack.
- Ensure People Systems align with internal technology, procurement, and retention policies.
- Dashboards and Reporting
- Build custom reports and dashboards for key metrics; fulfill ad-hoc report requests.
- Analyze complex datasets to ensure system functionality and set-up.
People Operations Team Management:
- Team Management
- Conduct team meetings and 1x1's to provide day to day support and guidance to People Operations team members.
- Establish and oversee activities of the People Operations team to drive results and implement key company initiatives.
- Ensure an innovative, effective and inclusive work culture to retain and grow the best talent for the People Team and organization.
- People Operations Management
- Payroll approval for biweekly pay cycle for non-exemp and exempt team members.
- Lead the People Operations team through strategic processes, projects, and complex situations.
The Right Stuff
- High school diploma or equivalent experience is required. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- 4 years of analyst experience in HRIS or People Operations with HRIS Administration, system configuration and/or implementation duties.
- 5 Years of experience mentoring and/or managing junior staff.
- 6 years of experience with Workday HCM, US Payroll, Benefits, Advanced Comp, Time Tracking, Absence, Reporting, EIBs, required.
- Experience building dashboards in Looker, Workday, or similar platforms is strongly preferred.
- Able to work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires conceptual thinking and in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Human Resources knowledge and expertise is sought out by others.
- Oversees experience level Human Resources professionals including subordinate managers and team leads. Develops, modifies, and executes processes and procedures that affect the People Operations team and may also have a company-wide effect.
- Drives the strategy and success of larger People Operations team projects which contribute to multiple areas of the organization. Established objectives, policies, procedures and work plans and delegate assignments to People Operations team members. Guides execution based on People Operations strategy.
- Coaches People Operations team members towards self-sufficiency through effective questions, guidance, empowerment and accountability. Establishes a safe working environment for team members to test, learn and grow. Skilled in advising team members on moderately complex tasks.

Unless otherwise specified, this role has the option to be hybrid or remote. Hybrid work locations provide team members with the flexibility of working partially from our Denver office and from home.
