ROLE SUMMARY

The Finance Operations Director is the primary point of contact accountable for the financial oversight and treatment of the Chief Information Security Officer's (CISO) budget. The Director has operational activities to ensure CISO key financial commitments are achieved. Including but not limited to operating expense management, capital expense management along with annual forecasting and month end close activities. The position will perform this function in partnership with the CISO Leadership Team (LT) members and will work directly for the CISO's Chief of Staff function.

This role will require strong analytical ability, coupled with knowledge of business / finance analysis tools and methodologies. The Director will be expected to manage a team of finance SME's and interface with Enabling Finance & the Digital Portfolio team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The CISO Finance Operations Director position is responsible for financial management reporting and analysis in order to support CISO services. The Director is also responsible for all monthly finance transactions & chargeback services. Key stakeholders will be the CISO, CISO leadership team, Digital portfolio team, and enabling finance partners. The CISO Finance Operations Director is responsible for, but not limited to, conducting the following key activities:

  • Own and maintain the CISO financial management framework
  • Set strategy and issue guidance for how CISO financials will be managed
  • Accountable for the CISO financials and have a strong understanding of where, why, and how CISO finances are spent and make recommendations for where financial adjustments should be made, as necessary, based on resource demands, actuals, and forecasts
  • Represent the CISO organization as the Portfolio Director and partner with the Digital Portfolio teams
  • Own any chargeback & billing methodology and process and associated work execution
  • Own customer financial management inquiries
  • Accountable for annual and month end delivery of financials as required by Enabling Finance
  • Ownership and accountability of month end financial accounting execution (e.g. Accruals, Transfers, Depreciation, etc.)
  • Own and maintain the annual transfer log data for CISO organization
  • Lead and manage a team of Financial accountants and subject matter experts
  • Manage and track financials supporting CISO ACD Pre-Day1, Day1+, and Exit
  • Partner with CISO ACD lead for estimating TSA and onetime costs
  • Own and manage the annual CISO Capital planning and management in conjunction with Digital
  • Responsible to ensure the Digital Portfolio is always up to date for CISO programs
  • Ownership of monthly reporting to CISO LT & Product Owners
  • Identify and resolve monthly accounting discrepancies (e.g. Accruals, Transfers, Depreciation, etc.)
  • Own the CISO fixed asset registry financial management including appropriate alignment of assets to projects/team (e.g. Depreciation).
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate financial transactions: Purchase Orders, accruals, reclasses, etc.. required to accurately record financial details
  • Periodically review purchase requests to ensure appropriate financial treatment of tax as it applies to asset purchases and good receipts.
  • Accountable to review and track all purchase orders for appropriate financial treatment (e.g allocation to spend categories, thresholds, shipping & receiving, tax, etc)
  • Support and lead business case work from development through approval and tracking of spend to closure. (e.g. allocation of Capital)
  • Periodically review the largest contracts with CISO and reconcile invoices, goods receipts, accruals against actuals
  • Manage annual budgeting processes across CISO
  • Accountable for LE & Annual Planning submissions to Enabling Finance
  • Ensure that all financial targets are met or full forward transparency on potential missed targets
  • Mentor and foster the next generation of CISO Finance analysts
  • Root Cause Research - Research business related variances, identify variance as manual accounting error or legitimate business movement, follow-up with GFS or market colleagues to resolve variance

QUALIFICATIONS

MUST-HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with finance/accounting or related experience
  • 10+ years of relevant financial management experience
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deep understanding of finance IT systems.
  • Deep understanding of Pfizer's international financial processes
  • Competency with spreadsheets & financial modelling (comfort with data manipulation and financial systems)
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

NICE-TO-HAVE:

  • CPA certification desired
  • Knowledge of Pfizer Accounting practices and policies

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169,700.00 to $282,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $152,700.00 to $254,500.00.
