Customer Supply Chain Manager

Purpose:

  • The primary purpose of the role is to manage the Demand Planning functions associated with the management of the Pfizer portfolio to meet customer demand and effectively optimize inventory/warehousing and supply chain targets aligned to global requirements.
  • The position needs to act as a strong influencer and coordinator across Customer Supply Chain (CSC), Supply Chain Quality (SCQ) and Customer Fulfillment (CF) for end-to-end demand and supply solution, driving Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Inventory management and project management.
  • Actively manage strong performance-based relationships with AMP team and local Business Unit (BU) leadership, clearly negotiating and defining service level expectations for that market per business unit.

What You Will Achieve

Forecast and Demand Management

  • Drive S&OP improvement, lead conversation with Commercial team for the demand forecasting process.
  • Deliver potential upside opportunity and eliminate the downside risk through effective and efficient escalation.
  • Operate the market S&OP process with Commercial, Finance, Regulatory and Quality to ensure the management of the products life cycle (new launches, line extensions, site changes, label changes, discontinuations, loss of exclusivity, etc.) and the balance of demand and supply, with appropriate participation from BU leadership and teams, and as an interface to provide market insight and analysis of demand forecasting with Global team.
  • Drive and enhance S&OP processes with each BU, with appropriate participation from BU leadership and teams, and AMP team. Monitor forecast error and analysis for improvement。

Supply Assurance and Inventory Management

  • Play a monitoring role and partner with AMP team to build up appropriate inventory levels in country to meet the market demand, the required safety stock levels, without exceeding inventory target and limiting obsolescence due to product expiry; Identify, assess, and partner with AMP to solve potential supply issues by agreeing with markets on mitigation plans or inventory risks.
  • Monitor the Product Change Management (AMP owns PCM) to ensure all required demand and supply meets launch dates and manage the master data associated with new product launches.
  • Provide proper solution to business to well control the inventory level and minimize potential write-offs for business.

New Product Management

  • Responsible for New Product Launch across all BUs, as assigned SC representatives and central contact window.
  • Ensure launch milestones and launch dates achieved in Hong Kong market.
  • Ensure that whole team can provide appropriate solution, identify and manage possible risk under supply chain scope to assist business to timely deliver the New Product Launch.

Project Management and Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement strategies and digitalized supply chain tools to enhance the work efficiency for Supply Chain and align with global requirements。

Logistics and Quality Operations Partnership

  • Establish close partnership with CF team and SCQ team to achieve business goals together。

How You Will Achieve It

  • Provide guidance, lead/co-lead projects, manage own time to meet objectives and plan resource requirements for projects across the department.
  • Accountable for Inventory planning and coordination of inventory deployment for assigned product portfolio.
  • Understand forward-looking volume risks, potential drive of change, understand actual volume changes, and ensure each supply chain node is aware and adapting to demand changes.
  • Drive ongoing process improvement & efficiency of the workflow of all supply chain operations through strategic thinking and collaboration.
  • Monitor and manage inventory shelf-life/expiry dates, and actively improve processes to avoid obsolescence write-offs.
  • Convert Volume to Financials and develop supply chain agreement (SCA) with stakeholders.
  • Drive management systems and continuously improve performance levels in line with established objectives.
  • Effectively and proactively communicate information regarding demand and supply issues, root causes, impacts, and aligned action plans to management and Business Unit stakeholders.
  • Discuss root cause analysis of inventory deviations vs. targets and of inventory drivers and define improvement plans with relevant stakeholders.
  • Present on promotional topics at key Pfizer Consumer Healthcare engagements with periodic opportunities to interact with customer directly.
  • Use and leverage Enterprise Resource Planning (e.g.: SAP) systems and reporting tools including Microsoft Office.
  • Interface with relevant stakeholders as needed to resolve shipment issues.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years' experience
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and cross-functional team leadership
  • Relevant experience in Supply and Logistics management and concepts or where customer requirements are aligned with sales, marketing and finance
  • Fluent in English for writing, reading and verbal communication
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications with a strength in Excel and PowerPoint

Nice-to-Have

  • Master's degree, preferably in healthcare industry but not mandatory
  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience
  • Strong System Application & Products, and systems skills
