Business Strategy Associate

As Business Strategy Associate you play a key role in supporting the companies strategic initiatives. Conducting and leading research, analysing market trends, and developing recommendations to drive business growth. Including strategic partnerships & M&A initiatives, bridging the gap between technical teams and executive stakeholders. Primary purpose to assist the leadership in making data driven decisions to improve operational efficiency, expand market presence and enhance competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Project Management:

• Partnerships and M&A

• Work closely with internal teams and external partners

• Support leadership in making data driven decisions

Market and Competitive Analysis / Business Intelligence:

• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and industry changes

• Analyze competitor strategies

• Provide insight on market opportunities and risks

Financial and Business Analysis:

• Assess financial data, key performance indicators and business metrics

• Support with financial modelling to evaluate investment opportunities and strategic initiatives

• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost optimization initiatives

Strategy Development and Execution:

• Assist in developing corporate strategies, business plans and growth initiatives

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement strategic projects

• Monitor progress of initiatives and adjustments

Data Driven Decision Support:

• Gather, analyze large data sets to extract actionable business insights

• Use tools including, Excel, Tableau and Power BI for reporting and visualization

• Present findings to senior leadership in a clear and competing format including Monthly Board Presentation

Alliance Management :

• Design process and run alliances management.

Functional Competencies (Technical knowledge/Skills)

• Data analysis and visualisation skills (Excel, Power BI)

• Financial and business analysis including market research, benchmarking and KPI tracking

• Strategic frameworks and problem solving including business process optimisation including growth strategy and market entry analysis

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail

• Ability to define and implement appropriate strategies

• Ability to identify and implement process improvements

• Maintains an up-to-date awareness of trends, tools, technology, techniques and processes that affect testing and technology within the Life sciences domain

Experience, Education, and Certifications

• Experience working in a strategy consulting team

• Proven experience in data analysis, market research or business operations

• Delivering Strategic planning, M&A analysis, and operational efficiency projects

• Proactive problem solving

• Solid Professional experience in the same or very similar role, preferably Life Science industry

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management or equivalent related experience

• CFA, CMC or Six Sigma certifications beneficial, not essential

• English: Fluent
