Job Purpose

Associate Study Manager supports scientific and operational project management teams in Discovery and Preclinical Services. The ideal candidate is a driven, hard-working, team-oriented individual with an interest in applied science and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting Activities

Discovery Support

  • Support Study Managers and Scientific Leads with planning and execution of pre-clinical imaging studies.
  • Supporting study reports (inserting tables, plots, images) and occasionally scientific writing (study methods).
  • Compiling results and communications from studies.

Data Quality Checks

  • Performing standard analysis of image data in coordination with the Image Analysis team.
  • Contributing to quality control of data across modalities.

Other

  • Representing the Discovery Research department within Perceptive and maintaining a positive attitude in interactions with all involved in a study, while focusing on collaborative problem-solving.
  • May support recording meeting minutes as needed.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested.

Functional Competencies (Technical knowledge/Skills)

  • Detail-oriented and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail
  • A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
  • Basic understanding of (or past exposure to) PET, SPECT, MRI, CT, and/or BLI
  • Experience with Python, MATLAB, C, and/or C++ preferred
  • Self-motivated to learn and constantly improve processes, tools, and skills

Experience, Education, and Certifications

  • Bachelor's (BS/BA) Degree in a related field (e.g. Life Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science)
  • Coursework and/or lab experience in imaging, biology, biochemistry, and/or bioengineering
  • Basic understanding of (or past exposure to) PET, SPECT, MRI, CT, and/or BLI
  • Experience with Python, MATLAB, C, and/or C++ preferred
  • English: Fluent
