PepsiCo Ventures Group

PepsiCo Ventures Group's role is to manage the strategic corporate venture capital program of PepsiCo. PepsiCo Ventures Group's mission is to invest globally in early stage and high-growth companies, to educate the PepsiCo organization on the evolving consumer needs, expanding business models, emerging technologies, and to accelerate the development of the portfolio companies. PepsiCo Ventures Group aims to be a leading value-adding strategic investor in the global consumer venture capital community.

We are currently seeking an experienced and driven individual to join our Ventures Group team.

The ideal candidate is expected to:

  • Be a representative for the PepsiCo Ventures Group
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain an external mindset, including staying on top of consumer and competitive trends

Responsibilities

Accountabilities:

  • Scouting:
    • Support Group scouting with qualitative assessment of emerging businesses using virtual resources and in-person meetings, including the development of periodic presentations to inform internal stakeholders.
  • Investment Portfolio:
    • Develop financial model and returns for investment to be included in executive ready investment materials for the Investment Committee
    • Lead quarterly financial performance analysis of portfolio companies, and communication with Corporate finance partners
    • Ensure rigorous adherence to PepsiCo internal and external reporting and compliance requirements. Support application of risk control and accounting reporting.
  • Partnerships:
    • Proactively work with portfolio companies and PepsiCo stakeholders to coordinate the execution of strategic partnerships
    • Provide ad-hoc insights to portfolio companies seeking support for their initiatives and growth strategies.
    • Coordinate execution of Group sponsored accelerator programs in partnership with internal PEP stakeholders, external vendors, and participating companies
  • Internal Capabilities
    • Lead negotiation with service providers, and track Group operating budget and communication with Finance partners
    • Contribute to Group transformation by supporting the identification of CRM systems, and lead the implementation of identified solution

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $102,800 - $172,100.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of work experience in a variety of positions including experience in at least one of the following areas: Corporate Development, Corporate Venture Capital, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Investment Banking, Strategy Consulting, Insights, Finance, or Consumer Goods
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Experience leading deal processes and managing multi-work stream projects
  • Proven strong project management skills
  • Superior financial modeling skills and acumen, strong financial reporting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including preparation of investment memos and executive presentations
  • Willingness to establish contacts through networking in consumer goods, health/wellness, consumer tech, and/or venture capital industry
