Commercial Insights:

In this exciting new role, as a Senior Shopper Behavior Manager on the PepsiCo Walmart team. You will take a leadership role on the new Luminate data platform and collaborate with the PBNA Commercial Insights team and commercial business partners such as Sales, Marketing, E-Comm and Supply Chain to identify opportunities and provide in depth expertise on shopper behavior to inform growth strategies. You will also be responsible for building some of our shopper digital capabilities around innovation, events and stores. You will also seek to leverage consumer and shopper insights to incorporate consumer need states and macro and Walmart specific shopper insights.

Specifically, this role will work to identify Walmart shopper trends, shopper behavior insights, competitive threats, and customer strategies to increase sales, drive category and PepsiCo portfolio growth and deliver increased share of market. You will provide critical expertise and thought leadership of the Luminate data platform and be actively engaged with the PBNA Commercial team to understand goals, problems to solve and bring important contextual business understanding to your analytical projects. You will be expected to be a thought leader and positively influence the commercial decision-making process. Pro-activity and high curiosity and learning agility as well as thriving in team-based culture are important intangibles.

Responsibilities

You will be expected to be a thought leader for the "Disaggregation and Optimization" capability agenda including developing digital capabilities in partnership with Advanced Analytics for initiatives like:

  • Store and shopper clustering & segmentation
  • Right Store & Shopper activation & assortment for Walmart events/ marketing programs
  • Tailored actionable insights for wining & losing segments/locations/customers at Walmart
  • Lead the integration of SB segments to WMC to enable tracking and measuring of targeted activation

This role will be responsible to develop design, strategy and planning for digital capabilities that will support in quickly identifying store level opportunities across channels to guide commercial and field teams across areas of CBS brands, Events, innovations etc. and lead the partnership with NA I&A analytics team to leverage PepsiCo's analytical suite of products (such as sDNA, cDNA, MVS etc.) into our day-to-day problems to solve. Partner with the team to enhance these capabilities to help best serve our commercial teams with store level "insights to action".

You will also be required to:

  • Utilize syndicated consumer and market data for the purposes of uncovering compelling insights
  • Master the Scinitilla (Previously known as "Luminate") shopper data platform and be expert on utilization for commercial insights team
  • Leverage shopper and consumer insights in the development of category and brand growth strategies
  • Integrate information from many sources and develop actionable insights and recommendations
  • Participate in customer strategic planning processes
  • Provide skillful analysis and support PEP executive team with data, dashboards, analysis and key business reporting- accountable for making decisions
  • Become Power User of Scinitilla (Previously known as "Luminate") for PBNA Commercial executive team - accountable for executing actions

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of Category Management experience within the consumer-packaged-goods industry
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking; ability to link strategies and objectives to develop compelling stories. Strong data analysis, problem-solving orientation.
  • Experience working with commercial sales teams on business development projects preferred with focus on strategy to execution.
  • Strong thought-leadership and influencing skills: ability to influence both internal team members and customer to reach goals
  • Ability to proactively set and lead an insights agenda. Consumer insights experience beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of syndicated data via Circana and/or Nielsen required. Will work with Scinitilla (Previously known as "Luminate") which is a new Walmart omni data source and several data sources in role. Understanding of shopper insights and panel data preferred
  • Highly proficient with MS PowerPoint, MS Excel. Tableau and or Power BI beneficial but not required.
  • Knowledge of SQL , ThoughSpot , PowerBI is preferred
  • Ability to "connect the dots" and bring insights into action
  • Strong communication and presentation skills interfacing at the Executive level. Ability to interact confidently and effectively with team members, management and customer contacts
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Strong planning/prioritization/organizing skills; the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong capability to leverage influencing skills to gain alignment, agreement, and commitments (internal/external)
