Overview
The Manager for Issues and Crisis Communications will be part of the Center of Excellence for Media and Issues Communications, with direct accountabilities for managing communications for issues impacting PepsiCo's reputation and business. This role involves working with the broader Communications organization, including North America Regional Communications leads and Frontline Communications leads, to deploy tools and materials for specific crisis situations. The individual will also partner with Senior Director and Director of Issues and Crisis Communications for support during crisis moments.
Responsibilities
Accountabilities:
- Interface directly with local and regional media deploying approved materials and templates
- Develop and update templates and tools for specific situations and work with relevant NA Communication business partners to cascade to relevant teams.
- Maintain statement tracker in real time by working with broader Issues and Crisis COE team, legal and Comms Business Partners.
- Maintain Hot Topics document with responsibility for quarterly updates
- Serve as point of contact for North America Regional comms leads and Frontline Communications COE, especially on templated employee or facility-level incidents
- The role involves interfacing with senior executives, agency teams, cross-functional partners, and the broader Comms organization

Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,400 - $178,100.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Key Skills/Experience Required:
- The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience working in a fast-paced, news-driven environment within a large global company or PR agency
- Deep understanding of the media landscape and interconnectivity between paid, earned, social and owned approaches.
- Ability to maintain a network that maintains regular connection and cadence of information sharing
- Hands-on experience managing trackers and leveraging templates, tool kits
- An understanding of the PepsiCo business, and how it is perceived by internal and external audiences (media, NGOs, employees, investors, local communities and government entities).
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
