Paperless Post is seeking two talented Graphic Designers with strong visual design and motion graphics experience. With flexible skillsets and sophisticated yet playful aesthetics, these designers will create design forward events pages and invites for millions of users’ most important life events for Paperless Post. 

As a part of the Content Design team, this graphic designer will create the very assets that draw people to our design-forward product and have changed the game in the stationery world. Informed by their appreciation for contemporary design, and a strong awareness of pop-cultural references, the successful candidate will design and create dynamic events pages and graphics to surprise and delight our users on our newest platform. Experience with any of the following skillsets is a plus: lettering, studio photography, 3D modelling, and illustration.

This position reports directly to our Senior Art Director.

What you’ll do here:

  • Create and produce cutting-edge design solutions, original and curated content for our newest event pages platform, as well as other branded channels (e.g. blog, social media, etc.).
  • Collaborate with art directors and senior designers in creating, designing, and producing original design work for the Paperless Post platform (websites, apps, etc), as well as other branded channels (e.g. blog, social media, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Art Directors, Designers, Production Designers and other cross-functional teams in all workflow steps, from content inception to creation to deployment.
  • Work with Brand Designers and Marketing teams to capture behind the scenes content for social channels.
  • Participate in regular brainstorming sessions, critiques, and design talks.

Here are some things that spark our interest:

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience for a junior-level graphic designer
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience for a mid-level graphic designer
  • Strong visual design and motion graphics fundamentals with impeccable attention to detail.
  • A flexible design skillset and aesthetic range, with the ability to design expressively with type and layout
  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop, in addition to After Effects fundamentals (fluency is a strong plus)
  • Proficiency with Figma, and some experience with UX/UI/Layout
  • An eagerness to continue growing your design toolkit. 
  • Comfort in a deadline-driven environment, with a strong ability to develop and deliver work in a timely manner and to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Prolific and proactive, especially when developing new ideas.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to explain your creative vision/process in relation to the project goals to cross-functional partners.
  • Comfort taking art direction, receiving feedback and navigating multiple points of view.
  • An avid collaborator and positive force, generous with your time and knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in design-related field a plus
  • Experience with any of the following skillsets is a plus: lettering, studio photography, photo editing, 3D modelling, and illustration.

The Paperless Post Content Design Team is a dynamic group of creatives with design, lettering, illustration, and photography expertise. We collaborate closely with our Production Design and Planning teams to create and produce relevant, design-forward, customer-facing content. We pride ourselves on our stylistic flexibility and diverse skill set, which we use to create content for a wide array of important life events.

The compensation range for the Junior level is $60,000 - 66,500 USD.
The compensation range for the Mid-level is 67,000 - 77,000 USD.

At Paperless Post, compensation is based on a number of factors, including geographic location, job-related skills, years of experience, and internal team banding. All full-time offer packages come with a base salary, equity component, and options for fully paid medical, dental, and vision benefits. The range posted here is based on the NYC market and may vary based on candidate location.
