Paperless Post seeks a part-time e-commerce merchandiser and consummate taste-maker to help oversee our e-commerce store, Party Shop. Party Shop offers users a curated assortment of unique products from tabletop, party supplies, decor, and gifts. In this role, you will manage the product library, launch new seasonal products, maintain the storefront, and working closely with cross-functional teams to bring seasonal stories to life. This role reports to the Director of Merchandising and eCommerce.
This role is based in NYC but can be fully remote or hybrid within the NYC area.
Responsibilities
Merchandising:
- End-to-end oversight of Party Shop’s day-to-day operations, from on-site merchandising through product library management and reporting
- Maintain product library including personalized products, offboarding unproductive skus, and adding new seasonal products
- Ensure all products are tagged accurately and flow into the correct category pages
- Drive assortment strategy and product selection for new and existing partners, and seasonal efforts, in partnership with Director
- Merchandise categories to align with sales performance, marketing efforts, product launches and promotions; plan and carry out seasonal updates and promotions in conjunction with marketing efforts
- Execute updates to navigation, filters, product recommendations and other category adjustments
- Maintain website functionality; responsible for executing and QA-ing content updates (homepage, landing pages, etc) to the website

Operations & Vendor Management:
- Daily review of all orders in all systems to troubleshoot any issues or delays
- Manage day-to-day vendor communication
- Work closely with CustOps to resolve any order or vendor issues
- Any vendor outreach and onboarding in partnership with Director
Marketing Partnership:
- In partnership with marketing, own all seasonal and holiday on-site strategies:
- Develop and execute seasonal merchandising campaigns
- Develop and share out all seasonal briefs; maintain all shared seasonal calendars
- Act as point of contact in Asana for all Party Shop updates and marketing coordination
Other Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Keep all cross-functional merchandising calendars and cross-functional tools up-to-date and manage communication across teams as it relates to Party Shop
- Manage contractors if/as needed (design, engineering)
- Own any special projects related to Party Shop on an as-needed basis
Reporting:
- Monitoring of performance and adjusting merch strategy to accommodate opportunities;
- Weekly high-level reporting
- Ad-hoc reports for any sales, product drops, initiatives etc.
- Seek opportunities to grow the online business
Qualifications:
- Available to work 20 hours a week within standard business hours (9am-5pm ET), Monday-Thursday
- 3-5 years of experience in E-Commerce based businesses with an emphasis on site merchandising
- Shopify experience required
- Some technical skills a plus (HTML, CSS)
- Prior experience using Asana a plus
- Strong analytical/data-driven mindset
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

The compensation range for this role is $30-40/hr, and the expected commitment is up to 20 hours per week.
At Paperless Post, compensation is based on a number of factors, including geographic location, job-related skills, years of experience, and internal team banding. All full-time offer packages come with a base salary, equity component, and options for fully paid medical, dental, and vision benefits. The range posted here is based on the NYC market and may vary based on candidate location.
