Your Career
The Solutions Consultant is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineering role, aligning how we best serve our customers in understanding their environment, providing solution guidance and ensuring value realization in their investment with Palo Alto Networks. As a Solutions Consultant you provide technical leadership and expertise and guidance in your customer's security transformation journey. You will play a key role in defining technical solutions that secure a customer's key business imperatives and ensuring value realization of their investment with Palo Alto Networks. You evangelize our industry leadership in on-prem, cloud, and security operations services that establish PANW as your customer's cybersecurity partner of choice.
Your Impact
Collaborate with sales teams to design high-level, multi-product security solutions for commercial accounts.
Provide strategic technical expertise across Strata, Prisma, and Cortex portfolios to address complex customer needs.
Develop comprehensive security architectures incorporating NGFWs, Panorama, Prisma Cloud, Prisma Access, and Cortex XDR/XSOAR.
Align solutions with Zero Trust architecture, business outcomes, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
Support large, strategic deals by advising on scalable, integrated security solutions across cloud, network, and endpoint environments.
Your Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, networking, or cybersecurity.
5+ years in solutions consulting, security architecture, or pre-sales engineering with a focus on commercial accounts.
Expertise in Strata NGFWs, Panorama, Prisma Cloud, Prisma Access, and SD-WAN.
Strong knowledge of SOC operations, security automation, and endpoint protection through Cortex XDR/XSOAR.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid network environments.
Proficiency in network segmentation, VPN technologies, and identity management.
Ability to design scalable, multi-product solutions aligned with customer business goals.
Strong communication skills to engage with both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
Preferred certifications: PCNSA, PCNSE, CISSP, Cortex XDR Specialization, Cortex XSOAR Specialization, and cloud provider certifications.
Soft Skills:
Customer-first mindset with excellent collaboration, adaptability, and leadership abilities.
Willingness to travel 60-80% for customer engagements and key projects.

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $198000 - $273000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
