The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Principal Solutions Consultant to join our team in the Supply Chain Risk Management space. This individual will report to the VP, Solutions Consulting and will play a key role in supporting the company's growth by working closely with prospects, customers, and internal teams. The Principal Solutions Consultant will provide deep industry expertise, strategic insights, and technical support to ensure successful customer outcomes, focusing on supply chain resilience, risk mitigation, and leveraging cutting-edge SAAS solutions.
Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Principal Solutions Consultant is a subject matter expert who deeply understands the unique challenges of the supply chain risk management industry. This individual will be responsible for driving strategic customer engagements, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring the successful adoption of our SAAS platform. The Principal Solutions Consultant works closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure the solution is positioned effectively throughout the customer lifecycle, from pre-sales qualification to post-sale expansion. This individual is seen as a trusted advisor and thought leader, able to communicate complex concepts to C-level stakeholders and guide internal teams to success.
Essential Functions/Duties:
- Industry Expertise: Demonstrates a deep understanding of the supply chain risk management landscape and the specific challenges customers face in mitigating and managing risk. This includes a thorough knowledge of risk factors, compliance, regulations, and best practices in the industry.
- Customer Engagement: Works closely with prospective and existing customers during the sales cycle, helping to define value propositions, articulate solution benefits, and provide industry-specific best practices.
- Solution Design: Collaborates with internal teams to design tailored SAAS-based solutions that address customer needs, ensuring that proposed solutions are both feasible and impactful.
- Thought Leadership: Publishes thought leadership content (e.g., blogs, white papers, webinars) on supply chain risk management trends, challenges, and solutions, contributing to the company's strong brand presence.
- Industry-Specific Demonstrations: Leads industry-specific product demonstrations that showcase the value and capabilities of the platform, ensuring relevance and alignment to customer needs.
- Strategic Advisor: Acts as a key advisor on internal project teams, representing customer pain points, challenges, and preferences, and ensuring solutions meet business goals.
- Market Intelligence: Gathers competitive intelligence and shares insights on industry trends, challenges, and competitor solutions to keep the company ahead in the marketplace.
- Collaboration & Training: Regularly collaborates with internal teams and shares best practices across the organization. Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance.
- Sales Support: Supports the sales team in qualifying opportunities, developing go-to-market materials, and positioning the company's solutions as the top choice in the supply chain risk management space.
- Customer Relationship Management: Manages and tracks key customer activities and engagements through Salesforce to ensure that customer interactions align with sales goals and outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) or Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), with a proven track record of leadership roles within the industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the supply chain ecosystem, including risk management processes, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Strong experience in SAAS-based solution selling and the ability to articulate the value of cloud-based platforms in solving complex customer challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to manage C-level relationships and to engage in high-level business conversations that drive change.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical and complex information into easily understood concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional presentation skills in both virtual and live settings, able to deliver high-impact messages to both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams (sales, product, and marketing) to ensure customer needs are met and to enhance overall solution offerings.

Minimum Degree Requirement:
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAAS solutions in the supply chain risk management space, especially with platforms focused on third-party risk, supplier compliance, and supply chain resilience.
- Strong consulting background and expertise in solution architecture, with the ability to customize solutions for complex customer environments.
- Familiarity with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 9001) and how they affect supply chain operations and risk management practices.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
- Master's degree or equivalent advanced qualifications in business, supply chain management, or a related field.

- Reports to: VP, Solutions Consulting
- Supervisory Responsibility:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

- Travel Requirements: 20% travel is expected for this position.
- Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.
- Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role. Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
- Compensation range is base salary of 142,000 - $237,000. The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
