Your Career
The Tax Senior Analyst will work closely with the Senior Tax Manager and be responsible for the management of all tax compliance obligations (in partnership with our compliance providers for each jurisdiction), tax reporting, tax audit and use of technology in such work for all Palo Alto Networks group companies across the world excluding the United States. As a team member the individual will be primarily responsible for all the necessary compliances in the area of corporate taxation in JAPAC/ EMEA/ LATAM region and also support the international tax function of the PANW Group in Provision to Return Calculations and Quarterly tax expense calculations on need basis. Over time, the role may provide the opportunity to expand into wider areas of tax including risk management, strategic planning, policy, and project work.
Your Impact
- Coordinate with external consultants for the annual tax filing and compliance
- process for all assigned entities to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns
- Engage with the in-house transfer pricing team to ensure local transfer pricing compliances and reporting obligations (including CBC notifications) are met timely for all assigned entities
- Work with external consultants to prepare WHT workings and file WHT returns for all assigned entities
- Preparation of tax payment calculations for all assigned entities as per the timelines to comply with the statutory rules and providing to Tax Operations Team for payment
- Maintain status of each year tax filing and payment for all assigned entities
- Support Finance with direct taxes matters in the Statutory audit process
- Liaise with tax consultants and Finance team with queries on tax filings
- Review notices/letters from tax authorities and assist in preparation of responses
- Contribute to the design and implementation of automated tools to drive efficiency/process improvements.
- Writing technical and non-technical tax research and compliance memos
- Work effectively with the Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing teams currently based in the US, UK, Netherlands and India
Your Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant - Must have qualification
- Minimum of 4 to 10 years of corporate tax experience in an accounting firm or large multinational group in JAPAC/ EMEA/ LATAM region - Must have
- In-depth knowledge of corporate income tax, tax accounting and basic understanding of transfer pricing
- Proficient in Excel and experience working through large data sets - Knowledge of Alteryx is an advantage
- Experience of international tax or working on SAP accounting would be beneficial
- Proven level of accuracy and willingness to roll up sleeves for processes and numbers details
- Organized, self-motivated and cooperative attitude
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and able to work with minimal supervision
The Team
The International Tax team at PANW which includes this to be hired role is a tight knit group working to set up tax processes, frameworks and systems to help the business ride the next wave of rapid growth. We are focused on ensuring compliances across geographies are taken care, reporting standards are met and are commensurate to Group's intended tax outcomes.
We are fun group, excited about the next growth phase and helping business teams in all possible ways, but yet keep the company and management abreast and make informed decisions. The team is spread across US, Netherlands, UK and India. This role is based in Bangalore and working alongside other members of the Tax and broader Finance organization in India.
