Your Career

In the Public and Social Infrastructure Sales Division, we handle accounts including central government agencies, local municipalities, universities/research institutions, hospitals, and social infrastructure companies across Japan. Within this framework, you will take on the role of a Pre-sales Engineer or Account SE, responsible for municipal governments, boards of education, universities, and medical institutions in the Chugoku, Shikoku, Kyushu, and Okinawa regions. Your role involves understanding our extensive portfolio of security products and combining them to propose optimal solutions.

Your Impact

  • Engage with end-users while supporting partner sales activities - This includes aiding partners in developing sales and support structures for transforming our products into services
  • Promote sales by providing technical product explanations, training, workshops, demonstrations, and responding to inquiries to help stakeholders understand our security product portfolio
  • Offer technical support and case assistance for service-based products
  • Conduct market research on competitors to understand the advantages of our products and contribute to increased sales through effective differentiation strategies
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including product sales and marketing teams, to enhance market recognition and generate new opportunities within your assigned markets

Market Overview - Municipal Governments, Boards of Education, Universities, and Medical Institutions

  • Municipal governments and boards of education are highly promising markets with significant advancements anticipated in areas such as DX initiatives led by the Digital Agency, cloud adoption, smart city projects, new resident services, and programs like the GIGA School initiative
  • While we already have substantial achievements in these markets, we aim to further expand by directly approaching municipal governments, boards of education, universities, and medical institutions to uncover new opportunities

Your Experience

Must

  • Pre-sales SE Experience - Prior experience in pre-sales SE roles, including pre-sales proposal activities (customer analysis, problem identification, solution proposals)
  • Technical Expertise - Continuously engage in self-learning to maintain technical leadership in the technologies covered by company products (security, networking, data centers, SDN, public cloud, etc.)
  • Industry Knowledge - Gather insights on industry trends and competitors to understand the advantages of company products and make effective proposals
  • Public Sector Expertise - Pre-sales experience and industry knowledge in municipal governments, universities, hospitals, or other public sectors
  • Japanese Language Proficiency - Fluent or native-level Japanese (equivalent to JLPT N1)

  • Security Product Sales Experience - Experience in selling, demonstrating, installing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure/cloud security products
  • Public Cloud & Container Solutions - Experience in proposing networking and security solutions for public clouds or containers
  • Solution Integration - Proven experience in combining multiple products and solutions effectively
  • Productization/Service Development - Experience in productization or service development
  • English Proficiency - Business-level reading and writing skills in English
