About the role
The Senior Manager, Corporate Compliance leads the enterprises compliance programs and activities. You will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of all compliance programs to align with healthcare regulatory requirements. You will manage people leaders as well as individual contributors. You will be tasked with the creation and oversight of departmental programs and processes aimed at evaluating regulatory requirements and ensuring appropriate processes and procedures in place to develop and maintain a “best in class” compliance program.

You will report to the Director, Corp Compliance & Privacy/Ethics.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $119,200 - $156,450 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $107,280 - $140,804 per year.
You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Support and develop an organizational compliance program based on the 7 elements of an effective compliance program.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with departmental leaders to understand business operations, identify areas of risk, and provide guidance on internal control design and implementation.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and make recommendations for improvements to address gaps or weaknesses.
- Review and approve compliance reports, ensuring the quality of findings and conclusions.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including findings and recommendations.
- Provide strategic guidance and direction to departmental teams on compliance matters.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to departmental leads to ensure timely compliance actions.
- Establish and maintain robust compliance policies, procedures, and controls in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required or commensurate work experience
- 7+ years in leading direct reports and teams
- 5+ years experience working in health care or related field with Policies & Procedures
- 5+ years driving compliance with regulatory and accreditation audit/policy requirements
- 5+ years Experience working with regulation and translating into operational procedures
- 5+ years Experience managing several critical, external facing, deliverables simultaneously
- 5+ years Experience / background in a fast-paced operations environment
- 5+ years Experience in program implementation, building, and maintenance
Bonus Points
- Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional CCEP, or similar
- Fluency with State DOI audit and/or reporting obligations
- State DOI audit management experience
- Experience in a start-up and/or health tech environment
- Experience in a TPA setting

Pay Transparency: Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
