In this job, you'll manage Corrective Action Program (CAP) department, overseeing a technical team responsible for comprehensive cause evaluations and learning teams to learn from safety incidents. Work closely with unit leaders, contractors, and attorneys to create and execute corrective action plans focused on preventing serious injuries and fatalities and other injuries. You'll drive action plans, remove obstacles, and coach staff for optimal performance. Responsibilities

  • Oversees the ongoing development, implementation, and review of the EHS Management System, ensuring maintenance of standards and certifications
  • Plans, coordinates and implements the company's strategic EHS Plan to develop an interdependent culture reflective of a commitment to an illness and injury-free workplace
  • Oversees the EHS performance metrics and the implementation of the annual improvement plans, managing safe work practices, standard operating procedures (SOP's), training manuals and safety awareness programs
  • Maintains focus at the strategic level and leverage staff, management and contractors appropriately to accomplish strategic and tactical goals
  • Develops innovative solutions that will support operations and drive awareness and local accountability, designing safe workspaces and creating policies for employees to follow that minimize job-related hazards
  • Leads initiatives in safety data analytics and key performance metrics and provides reports on performance and recommendations for actions
  • Seeks continuous improvement by developing training and coaching materials, editing existing safety programs, and performing internal EHS audits
  • Leads, reviews, and manages regulatory compliance related to site permitting, hazardous waste operations, chemical management, equipment installation and operation, respiratory equipment use, and related employee training
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
  • Five or more years of experience leading and developing health and safety compliance programs, activities and systems.
  • Posses a valid Class C Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with experience consulting with Senior Management such as executives and directors.
  • Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, proven record of effective collaboration and cross-functional alignment, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
  • Knowledge of electrical utility safety work practices, cause analysis, learning teams and corrective action plans.

Additional Information

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
