About the role
This role develops and manages end-to-end strategic sourcing categories while building trusted relationships across functions. Taking a leading role on high-priority supplier negotiations ensuring and managing measurable impact on Oscar’s bottom line.
You will report to the Director, Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management.

Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role is: $97,200 - $127,575 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Category Manager for Consulting, Workplace Operations, Travel, Legal and possible other Procurement categories.
- Conduct market research in support of RFPs and participate in competitive bidding (RFx)
- Capture content for contract management databases (termination, spend, compliance, unit pricing)
- Implement the review of cost saving opportunities with Executive Sponsors, Business Leads and Finance
- Complete contract negotiations (including contract drafting) with vendors and Legal
- Serve as first point of contact in the contract drafting process, in collaboration with Legal
- In collaboration with the business stakeholders, identify the business requirements to be included in contract documentation
- Facilitate escalation and dispute resolution activities with new and existing vendors (as necessary) and coordinate vendor IT integration and access deliverables
- Complete vendor terminations and assist with decommissioning efforts, as necessary
- Work with Business Leads to capture and review vendor SLAs
- Work directly with Business Leads on vendor SLA reporting and adherence; support any remediation efforts
- Develop and monitor spend reporting with Finance and Business Leads
- Support Executive Sponsor and Business Lead, as requested, on vendor communications including meetings, reports, QBR/MBR, etc.
- Assist in the development of P2P Policy CLM documentation and audits
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ Years of Sourcing and Procurement Experience
- Demonstrated ability to build external relationships and hold stakeholders and partners accountable
- Demonstrated ability to generate cost savings and cost avoidance

- Ability to understand, organize, communicate and present complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to a variety of audiences
- Adaptable and efficient in a constantly evolving environment
- Familiarity with and comfort of using procurement software (e.g. ZIP)

Pay Transparency: Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
