About the role

As an Associate Director, Marketing, you will be responsible for leading concepting, execution and measurement for best-in-class marketing strategies that deliver on organizational goals. You will lead a team of experts who drive forward data-driven marketing programs and campaigns to reach target audiences and partners with agencies, as well as internal cross-functional partners on initiatives to drive consumer growth, engagement, and retention.

You will report to a Director, Marketing. 

Work Location:

Oscar is a blended work culture where everyone, regardless of work type or location, feels connected to their teammates, our culture and our mission.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $158,400 - $207,900 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $142,560 - $187,110 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, and annual performance bonuses.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the cross-functional development of a strategy to support the aligned entity.
  • Subject matter expert in their domain, proactively identifying opportunities, aligning their team against key initiatives, and frequently called on to represent marketing in large enterprise initiatives that drive to key goals.  
  • Partner with internal teams, vendors and agencies to optimize overall strategy, distribution channels, and content creation/deployment.  
  • Understand consumer segments and make informed recommendations on how to reach them.
  • Build enablement strategies for B2B and D2C audiences, and lead  supporting materials to empower partner teams with the necessary tools and training to effectively sell and operate
  • Develop a marketing roadmap and structure to support key business goals and ensure future success.
  • Lead the research, strategy and execution of full-funnel growth initiatives, continuing to learn and adapt to achieve growth targets in-concert with the brand strategy. 
  • Drive awareness, engagement and growth for aligned business through comprehensive marketing plans and multichannel go-to-market strategies.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze marketing metrics and KPIs to measure performance. Identify areas for optimization and attribution enhancement by working closely with data science campaign reporting and analysis enrichment. Establish a shareout cadence for stakeholders and leaders.
  • Cultivates talent within the marketing team and ensures continuous improvement, creates a data driven culture and rewards proactive leadership. 
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or 4+ years relevant work experience.  
  • 7+  years relevant work experience in marketing, including experience with data-driven marketing programs and campaigns.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams of direct and indirect reports.
  • 3+ years experience collaborating and influencing cross functional stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working on integrated marketing and advertising campaigns, could include digital, social, broadcast, radio, OOH, direct mail, email and SMS.
  • Familiarity with marketing best practices.
  • Experience leading expansion and new product launches from a marketing perspective.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that drive lead generation and revenue growth.
  • Experience working in high growth environments. 
  • Experience working in complex regulatory environments.
  • Experience working with third-party sales channels as a growth driver.

Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including: medical, dental, and vision benefits, 11 paid holidays, paid sick time, paid parental leave, 401(k) plan participation, life and disability insurance, and paid wellness time and reimbursements.
