Purpose and Job Summary

The team is seeking to hire a highly-motivated and team-oriented Analyst level person in Dallas or New York. The candidate will take a central role in managing existing assets and evaluating new investment opportunities. Responsibilities will include (1) identifying and underwriting new business initiatives; and (2) surveillance and analytics of existing portfolio, augmenting, and creating reports, and generating performance reports in a time sensitive manner and to a high-level of accuracy.

The Analyst will gain exposure to investment underwriting, bond analytics, and securitized products. The position presents a unique and exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, transactional, and multi-disciplinary environment requiring a detailed understanding of all aspects of transaction underwriting and execution. The Analyst will become a core member of a growing platform, in an entrepreneurial environment, and have constant interaction with the most senior members of the firm. We are looking for candidates with the ability to operate in a lean, dynamic team, and have a strong desire to learn.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the team members to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
  • Assist with performing detailed cash-flow modeling for new investment opportunities.
  • Assist with performing due diligence on transactions.
  • Prepare internal investment approval memorandums and presentations.
  • Prepare surveillance and analytics analyses for ORIX USA's structured credit portfolios.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly mark-to-market for portfolios.
  • Prepare portfolio, deal, and underlying collateral reports.
  • Interface with internal accounting, operations, risk, and support teams.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Degree in STEM, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Strong quantitative and modelling skills.
  • Genuine interest in the financial markets.
  • High degree of motivation and willingness to take initiative.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Ability/willingness to travel when required.

Annual base salary gross: $80,000 - $100,000 (NY only). The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the ORIX USA's salary for this position. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of ORIX USA's total compensation package for employees.
