Purpose of your role:
This role is responsible for managing the Treasury operations function within the OFX Group. The successful candidate will interact closely with all teams across OFX and will assume responsibility, amongst other things, for the management of currency risk, management of cash and liquidity risk, currency market commentary and will liaise closely with our panel of external banking partners to facilitate the day to day hedging activities of the group.
What you do:
- Manage all foreign exchange risk for the business
- FX and liquidity management activities ensuring accounts are funded adequately at all times
- Develop short term plan (STP) and medium term plan (MTP) for cash management across group including investing short term excess cash as appropriate
- Assist with the management of external banking relationships
- Provide FX quoting support for the sales and dealing desks
- Ensure adherence and compliance with OFX policies and procedures as they relate to the Treasury function.
- Work with the Global Head of Treasury to deliver projects from time to time in accordance with agreed budgets, schedules and specifications
- Implement weekly and monthly reporting
- Develop, train and mentor others in the Treasury dealing team
- Provide weekly market commentary to the marketing, dealing and sales team
Qualifications:
- Tertiary and / or professional qualifications in a business, finance, accounting or other related discipline
- Post graduate qualifications encouraged but are not essential
- A minimum of 5 years working in a financial services / markets environment with a particular interest in foreign exchange markets and products
- An understanding of risk management in financial markets
- A strong interest in coaching and developing staff
- An ability to communicate concisely and clearly on complex issues
