You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground-breaking solutions that will revolutionize the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will work with talented and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various subsystems to integrate their work into our autonomous driving DRIVE SW platform, while achieving or exceeding all relevant NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. What You'll Be Doing:
- In this role, you will be collaborating with front-end, back-end developers, collaborating with a diverse team of DevOps, IT and security engineers as well as machine learning, deep learning experts. You will be creating human-in-the-loop and management applications at the frontier of what is possible in machine learning today and getting a front seat view of the action in this very hot space from a team and a company driving the progress at the cutting edge.
- You will play an important role in the full development and release life cycle, from web API, software architecture and database interaction design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Working together with other excellent engineers to build and maintain the next generation services including build workflows, Telemetry, and much more.
- Learn and create valuable features for end users and greatly improve NVIDIA autonomous driving product's user experience.
- Continuously improve infrastructure provisioning and management using automation.
- Identify areas to improve service resiliency through industry standard practices.
- Ensure the highest level of up-time and Quality of Service (QoS) to internal customers through operational excellence
- Define service level objectives (SLOs) and service level indicators (SLIs) to represent and measure service quality.
What We Need to See:
- BS, MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency with programming languages such as Python/Java/Go/C++ and proficiency in software development fundamentals.
- Experience with container-based virtualization (e.g. Docker) and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes).
- Proficient in modern CI/CD techniques, GitOps and Infrastructure as Code(IaC).
- Hands on experience running production quality observability stacks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability and flexibility to work and communicate effectively in a multi-national, multi-time-zone corporate environment.
Ways To Stand Out from the Crowd:
- Expertise with at least one major cloud service provider- AWS, GCP, Azure.
- Deep understanding of Linux, and Linux application/services development.
- Familiar with distributed computing, high scalability and availability design, multi-thread, load balance, such as high-performance server architecture.
- In-depth knowledge of Automotive/IoT is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning and staying up to date with the latest trends in software engineering and technologies.
