This position will support our Trachte facility in Madison, WI. As a part of nVent, Trachte is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. Today, nVent connects and protects our customers with inventive electrical solutions. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. Offering both prefabricated and on-site building capabilities, framed and frameless building construction types, and products ranging from build kits and modular units to fully engineered integrated buildings.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE:
- Lead and mentor electrical engineers, fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and innovation.
- Manage engineering resources assigned to projects from feasibility to completion, ensuring that all work meets functional, quality, and cost standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align on customer needs, ensuring solutions align with both technical specifications and market demands.
- Be responsible for project commitments, resource allocation, and budget to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Review and approve product designs for compliance with engineering principles, customer requirements, and industry standards.
- Analyze product performance data, resolve failures, and provide insights to improve reliability and performance.
- Champion design excellence by staying ahead of industry trends, technology advancements, and implementing standard processes.
- Drive process improvements to improve team efficiency, product quality, and innovation.

YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineering (PE) certification a plus.
- 7+ years of electrical engineering experience with a track record of successfully leading engineering projects and teams.
- Experience in product design, including electrical systems, embedded controls, and/or power distribution systems.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower and develop engineering teams to exceed performance expectations.
- Proven track record to manage numerous projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in using computer-aided engineering and design software to develop calculations and models.
- Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements in electrical engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think strategically, driving decisions that align with business objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to present sophisticated technical concepts clearly and effectively.
