Technical Project Manager
Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for managing the lifecycle for a complex cross functional body of work that has a long term positive impact on the company
  • Establish collaborative and productive relationships with product management, governance, UX design, vendors and other supporting teams.
  • Foster an environment of engineering excellence and innovation.
  • Insist on designing to the edge.
  • Works closely with development teams to build and launch new products, features and programs.
  • Define and organize the program, outline tenets, analyze data, drive performance improvements, and influence resource allocation for all stages of execution (from ideation to delivery)
  • Own planning, standups, demos, retrospectives and the execution of your sprints.
  • Remove blockers and always find the path forward in challenging situations
  • Keep technical debt in check.
  • Ensure teams are building using modern practices and tools.
  • Recognize and act of your responsibility for driving change for the entire development community.
  • Cultivate operational excellence within your teams.
  • Understand service level agreements (SLA) and how your systems are performing in relation to them.
  • Ensure your systems self-report breaches and understand root cause.
  • Insist that your teams provide timely resolution of identified production defects.
  • Mentor and grow your people.
  • Create an environment of individual accountability.

  • As a Group Technical Program Manager, you will play a key role within engineering, driving results for your domains and associated portfolio of products/features.
  • Your team is on point for organizing and shipping software into production in a well-controlled way
  • Your teams contribute to the technical strategies, design choices, execution plans, and even the cloud infrastructure (PCF) and associated developer tooling for CI/CD, TDD, and BDD, necessary to deliver the digital portfolio.
  • Your teams have a deep understanding of the platform, the integration patterns, the organizational capabilities, and the company wide assets that can be leveraged to provide rich customer experiences while building digital solutions.
  • You will encourage teams to decouple from organizational and architectural dependencies, eliminating redundancy, and landing work with the right teams.
  • You ensure execution aligns with all regulatory requirements while continuously working to simplify and to automate the necessary and auditable "paperwork" and processes.
  • Establish collaborative and productive relationships with product management, governance, UX design, vendors and other supporting teams.
  • Foster an environment of engineering excellence and innovation. Insist on designing to the edge. You will be data driven and without bias in your approaches. You have a proven ability to operate in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
Skills
  • Ability to understand and work with technical concepts and creatively apply these concepts to process innovation and business efficiency.
  • Experience in conceptualizing, designing and delivery of engineering outcomes & product launches across cross functional teams and domains
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with complete independence and autonomy
  • Proven ability to develop talent and build a bar raising function & high performing teams.
  • Ability to motivate and focus a collaboration to reach challenging goals.
  • Can handle multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong stakeholder management, analytical, project management, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Can communicate (written and oral) to executives, peers, and staff with eloquence and authenticity
  • Experience with program delivery in an agile operating model and lean engineering practices
