Prior Authorizations Coordinator
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)
Start Date: ASAP
Mon - Fri 8:00 - 4:30 (Flexible)
Pay Rate: $18.30hr
Employment Type: Long Term Contract/Not FTE
Responsible for initial case review including confirming eligibility using appropriate systems available to create authorizations post and/or direct admissions.
-Effectively meets daily metrics with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude with a focus on timely authorizations/creation and faxing authorizations back to providers to ensure appropriate submission of claims
2) -Accurately and consistently documents each call in the members electronic record, thoroughly completing required actions with a high level of detail to ensure Compliance and Regulatory Standards are met

-Protects the confidentiality of member information and adheres to company policies regarding privacy/HIPAA
-Effectively supports concurrent review nurse's, assist with enrollment questions, responding promptly to provider calls, and demonstrating empathy and a sense of urgency when appropriate
-Ability to be agile, managing multiple priorities and adapting to change with enthusiasm
-Determined to build strong relationships with peers and our Medicaid members
-Demonstrates an outgoing, enthusiastic, and caring presence over the telephone
Required:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
2 years prior authorizations experience
Discharge Planning
Strong data entry (Excel/Access) and typing skills required (Will need to take assessment).
Knowledge of Medicaid
