POSITION : Insurance Collections Representative
LOCATION : Onsite-Monroeville, PA
JOB TYPE : This is a LONG-TERM CONSULTING assignment. Not Direct Hire.

PAY: $19.50per hour
HOURS: M-F 7:30am-4pm

START DATE: 10/28/2024.

Key Responsibilities of the Insurance Collections Representative:

Collections Specialist I will be responsible for qualifying, preparing and submitting claims to Medicare Part B, Major Medical and Medicaid. Individual must work with LTC facility staff, operations staff, prescriber offices, third party payers, patients and/or their responsible parties and claim processors.

This position requires work within several different operating systems and web based programs to retrieve document images, collect supporting or additional information on fills and work claims through to resolution to ensure compliant, timely and accurate billing practices.

  • Timely response to Medicare audits and appeals
  • Research and gather the appropriate documentation to form all levels of appeals for Medicare
  • Third party follow-up associated with the dispensing g of prescription medication via telephone, Internet, and in writing
  • Resolve issues with nonpayment of invoices due to insurance problems that may have resulted from incorrect or incomplete information, therapy changes and pharmacy or shipping errors
  • Maintain supporting chronological notes that detail action taken to resolve outstanding account balances
  • Maintain patient demographic information and data collection systems Research and respond by telephone, via the internet and in writing to insurance companies and governmental payers regarding collection issues and problems
  • Contact patients and Physician's offices as well as insurance companies as needed in order to expedite claims processing

Required Qualifications
2 Years Healthcare Insurance related experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office products' specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.
Minimum 2c year experience working with healthcare reimbursement systems.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
