About the role:
The Head BPA Manager Small Molecules focuses on challenging and analyzing the Global Small Molecules budget and actuals, on functionally supervising and coaching the Small Molecules finance supports, and on process and tool improvement and training. Robust financial analyses, constant process improvements, and close alignment with stakeholders are key enablers to be used during monthly reviews, LO and Budget preparation. Major tasks are trend and deviation analysis, process definition/ implementation, providing excellent financial support to the platform IBP process, as well as drive value creation by leading/co-leading special projects.

About the Role
- Preparation and consolidation of the budget for internal cost, CAPEX and headcount
- Ensure business resources are allocated and used in line with objectives
- Consolidate and report accurate monthly Latest Outlooks (LO), reporting of actuals and associated variance commentaries to TechOps Finance
- Support and lead the Long Term and Strategic plan within the Small Molecules functions
- Through regular, proactive communication and frequent liaison with all stakeholders, ensure that all Small Molecules finance resources are fully aligned on processes, requirements, and policies.
- Supervise adherence to processes, requirements, and policies and resolve any issues, if needed through adequate escalation
- Being a supportive and effective business partner to all Small Molecules stakeholders on all financial topics as required, in cooperation with the finance resources
- Proactively increase the financial awareness across the Small Molecules teams to drive better understanding and responsibilities of financial processes
- Actively support the line functions in defining productivity improvements and helping in identifying specific plans to create value to business processes.
- Actively support the introduction of new tools and processes, ensure that Small Molecules requirements are considered adequately and timely
- Support platform-wide external collaboration opportunities from Finance perspective
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree in Business Administration or similar diploma (MBA preferred), recognized financial qualification.
- 5-6 years Blue chip financial experience, thereof 3-4 years in business planning & analysis, ideally within healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry.
- 2 years of relevant functional / indirect leadership experience.
- Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Excel and Power Point.
- Familiarity with financial reporting systems
- To manage the key financial processes of Small Molecules in a complex environment such as Global TechOps requires excellent communication and co-ordination abilities across cultures, geography and functions
- Fluent English written and spoken, Spanish and/or German is a plus
