Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer for Modeling and Simulation. This position is located in Huntsville, AL
and supports the Sentinel program.
What You'll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will join a team modeling various components covering many disciplines including radars, sensors, track filters, interceptors and much more. The team is responsible for both developing and extending C# models to an existing simulation as well as performing analysis and trade studies. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to work with multiple teams across multiple disciplines to drive tasks to closure and is comfortable writing Object Oriented Programing (OOP).
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Software development and maturation of an existing systems of systems simulation
* Development of design documentation and interface control documents
* Participate in design optimization and trade studies
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03).
Engineer Systems: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master's degree.
Principal Engineer Systems: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree.
Required for Both Levels:

Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
* Experience with one or more of the following languages: C#, C++, Python, MATLAB, PowerShell, XML - 1 year
* Experience with Systems Engineering (SE) or Modeling and Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) - 1 year
* Advanced use of standard Microsoft Office products to include development tools
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in one or more of the following knowledge areas: trade studies, System of System Modeling, RF modeling, Object Oriented Programing (OOP), survivability analysis
* Experience with version control management software similar to Git
* Experience with one or more of the following simulation tools: AFSIM, STK, or other system of system modeling tools
* Experience with software documentation development, testing (unit or functional), or Verification & Validation (V&V)
* Demonstrated expertise soliciting input from internal and external stakeholders, synthesizing data, and communicate complex results to technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $77,200 - $115,800
Salary Range 2: *$95,300 - $142,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
