The selected candidate will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team across Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) skillsets (G&C, PBACM, Payloads, SE&I) to develop and mature the Mk21A proposal and artifacts. This includes preliminary specification development, verification planning, and interface requirement specifications. This may also include leading or participating with team through AVE PDR milestones as the Mk21A thread lead. The candidate will also work with the AVE restructure team, USAF, and multiple cross-team stakeholders to contribute to, develop, and execute the Sentinel AVE Restructure and Milestone B recertification.
In accordance with Northrop Grumman leadership values, the Mk21A lead will provide leadership guidance and support by helping their team develop skills, set goals, and resolve issues, both individually and programmatically. In addition, as an assignment manager over a team of engineers, you will be responsible to assist Functional Management with employee development, policy compliance, performance management, and more as required by your Functional and Assignment manager.
The Mk21A lead will demonstrate strong leadership skills. They will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. This candidate will have the ability to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading engineering teams through the full life cycle of a development program (including modern digital and model-based practices and methods).

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This position may offer a competitive relocation package.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8 years of related experience
3 years of experience in a formal lead/management position
5 years of experience with ICBM Weapon System
Experience writing BOEs and proposals
Professional engagement with USAF customer driving technical and programmatic meetings
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

5 years of experience with ICBM Reentry Vehicles (Mk12A, Mk21, Mk21A) or DOE warheads (W78, W87, W87-1)
5 years of experience managing or leading a multi-disciplinary team
Experience leading a proposal team
Experience in a PDR campaign for SE scope. Includes RvsC, Entrance/Exit criteria, CDRL development etc.

Salary Range: $161,500.00 - $242,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
