This position is located in Huntsville, AL and leads the Huntsville Production Operations team through the development & build of the Post Boost Attitude Control Module (PBACM) portion of the Sentinel Air Vehicle Equipment (AVE) for our Air Force customer.

What You'll Get To Do:
This position requires a comprehensive understanding of design and production, program management skills, proven strategic planning and business execution capabilities, as well as ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines. The position will be a key leadership role interfacing with Sentinel leadership staff in establishing & executing to the baseline program plans. In addition, the candidate should be able to interact and influence executive level management and communicate effectively with both oral and written presentations. The POM will provide operational focus (cost, quality, and schedule) for the PBACM Production Operations effort. The POM is responsible for the overall operational performance for the lifecycle of the program starting with engineering & development, standing up our production facility in Huntsville, and positioning for future production. The POM will act as the senior Production Operations leader in Huntsville with accountability to both the program and functional leadership team. The POM will have responsibility to ensure all operations aspects of the program from material procurement to finished product delivery are properly planned and executed in accordance with the Program Execution Plan. This includes establishing needs and driving delivery of Engineering products and support as required to support the build schedule.
The Production Operations Manager 3 position has the following duties and responsibilities:
Work in partnership with the Functional Teams and Program Leadership to define and execute the Production Operations statement of work in alignment with the customer SOWs
Responsible for leading the team assigned to PBACM consisting of the Manufacturing Engineering/Tooling, Industrial Engineering & Operations Project Management, Manufacturing Integration and Field Operations disciplines
Key member of the AVE Production Operations leadership team to help create the alignment with the division manufacturing strategy
Stand up our production facility in Huntsville, AL
Oversee all proposal efforts for the Huntsville Production Operations team
Develop and execute baseline program plan for Production Operations deliverables (e.g. Mfg. planning CDRLs, Master Build/Production Schedule, HW deliverables; etc.)
Coordinate accurate and executable resource plans, work plans and associated Visibility Metrics aligned with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) & Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
Develop program operations status and metrics on a regular basis and present to management and the customer, as applicable
Ensure engineering structure (drawings and build documentation) are developed for manufacturability, efficiency, affordability and configured for incorporation into the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Material Resource Planning (MRP) system
Provide a manufacturing presence with program change boards to ensure design changes have been properly vetted with operations/manufacturing schedules, operational

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 8 years of related experience or Masters Degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience
A minimum 3 years of experience in a formal management position
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
3 years of demonstrated management experience leading manufacturing or production operations activities
Knowledge and experience with Production Planning functions
Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Preferred candidate will be a proven leader; problem solver; possess a strong work ethic; and have excellent communications and interpersonal skills required to work closely with teammates, stakeholders and both internal and external customers.
Familiarity with Northrop Grumman build execution, processes and procedures.
Experience as an EVMS Control Account Manager (CAM)
Experience working with ERP Systems such as: SAP & MES

Salary Range: $162,300.00 - $243,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
