Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector HQ division is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Manager 3 to provide strategic HR support for the Manufacturing & Infrastructure (M&I) organization as well as tactical support to the Global Supply Chain organization. This role will be located in McLean, VA.

This role will provide HR leadership for the M&I organization as well as collaborate with the HR Director to develop strategic human capital plans that align with division and functional goals. They will lead integration and change management initiatives to enhance functional operations. Partner with peer HR managers and Business Partners on critical business initiatives, navigating cultural and business sensitivities to ensure stability and clarity. This role will also partner across divisions on various topics such as talent management, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation.
The candidate will be required to balance strategic thought with tactical execution. This role will consult and assist with the implementation of HR strategy, programs, and policies in close partnership and collaboration with other HR functions. Business acumen, leadership engagement, influencing capability, and high levels of emotional intelligence will be critical to success in this role. The successful candidate must think ahead to anticipate potential challenges and possess the ability to influence without direct authority to produce results/outcomes.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8 plus years, or Master's degree with 6 plus years hands on experience in multiple human resource disciplines
* Knowledge across all HR functions to include talent acquisition, talent and performance management, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, diversity and inclusion and compensation
* Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities efficiently with the ability to meet critical deadlines
* Experience in consulting / coaching senior leadership (VP level)
* Expertise in change management and strategic communication
* Proven ability to identify and proactively determine the best ways to address issues
* Strategic mindset with a focus on improvement and implementation
* Ability to leverage HR processes, tools and data analytics to accelerate business results and the employee experience
* Demonstrated success in building and leading teams and the ability to assess people issues impacting the business and develop/implement successful solutions.
* Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
* Ability to travel 10%
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of Northrop Grumman culture and demonstrated success effectively working within company's organization, processes, and procedures
* Experience with domestic and international programs, operations and businesses
Experience working in a matrixed/home roomed environment
* Demonstrated capability in process improvement implementation
* Proficiency with Workday
Salary Range: $154,600 - $231,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
