Works in a variety of settings to build systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for data scientists and business analysts to interpret. Their goal is to make data accessible so that organizations can use it to evaluate and optimize their performance. Designs, builds and oversees the deployment and operation of technology architecture, solutions and software to capture, manage, store and utilize structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources. Establishes and builds processes and structures based on business and technical requirements to channel data from multiple inputs, route appropriately and store using any combination of distributed (cloud) structures, local databases, and other applicable storage forms as required.
• Analyzing complex queries using advanced functions and formulas in Excel
• Analyzing data in Excel to evaluate business risks
• Development of charts, graphs, histograms, etc. to analyze data elements
• Utilizing excel formulas and techniques to quantify and analyze data from multiple sources.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 2+ years of relevant experience, STEM Master's with 0 year's experience
• Proficient in tracking, augmenting, correcting, and improving upon Excel spreadsheets
• Strong background in MS Office Suites
• Knowledge of databases concepts, data structure, and data manipulation.
• Experienced in data visualization best practices.
• Understand calculated fields, how to implement parameters, level of detail calculations and hierarchies.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, able to execute independently and with a small team.
• Must be willing to work on site 100% of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree or higher in data science, computer science, software engineering degree.
• Certified in Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Excel Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate
• Skilled in modern programing languages (Python, SQL etc.)
• Skilled in statistical data analysis and modeling.
• Experience in data visualizations using MS Power BI and Tableau.
• Understands the differences in data representation between products, plans, recipes, and varying levels of manufacturing containers (lots, wafers, die, etc.).
Salary Range: *$83,300 - $124,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
