Essential Functions:

Acting as RE for communications subsystems
* Design, analyze, configure, test, document, and troubleshoot communications subsystems
* Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications
* Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to implement LOS and BLOS communication subsystems to meet mission objectives
* Work closely with other engineers and technicians to install, configure, and test subsystems in development and test environments
This position may be filled at either the Electronics Engineer (Communications Systems Responsible Engineer) OR a Principal Electronics Engineer (Communications Systems Responsible Engineer) level, depending upon the qualifications below
Basic Qualifications for Electronics Engineer (Communications Systems Responsible Engineer):

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 2 years of relevant engineering experience OR a Master's degree in a STEM field with 0 years of engineering experience.
* Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, installing, and operating LOS and BLOS communication systems in airborne military applications
* Demonstrated experience with voice, military and network waveforms
* Active, in-scope DoD Secret clearance
* Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Electronics Engineer (Communications Systems Responsible Engineer):

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 5 years of relevant engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM field with 2 years of relevant engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM field with 0 years of relevant engineering experience.
* Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, installing, and operating LOS and BLOS communication systems in airborne military applications
* Demonstrated experience with voice, military and network waveforms
* Active, in-scope DoD Secret clearance
* Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

Active Special Program Access
* BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering
* Experience with RF antenna design and performance analysis
* Experience with rapid prototyping and demonstration activities
* Experience with performance assessment through link margin and antenna pattern analyses
* Ability to design select and characterize RF design to meet mission objectives
* Experience with cryptographic implementations
Salary Range: $71,400 - $107,000
Salary Range 2: *$87,800 - $131,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
